"Okay hun, this is my house. Will you help me in?"

A-Lora nods at the older woman as she makes her way up the small steps of the tiny home.

As soon as she enters the house, A-Lora is greeted by strong the smell of cinnamon and vanilla. She glances around the small home taking in everything.

"You have a lovely home Miss." The woman follows in after A-Lora making her way towards the kitchen.
A-Lora takes another glance around before following the woman to the kitchen.

"You can set the groceries on the island honey." A-Lora frowns slightly confused at the woman's words. "Where is the island. Aren't islands surrounded by water. "

The older woman let's out a soft laugh taking the young girls confused statement as a joke. "Oh darling you are just the cutest."

A-Lora set's the groceries on the counter in the center of the kitchen. "But miss, I really don't know what you're talking about." The woman turns towards A-Lora, a skeptical look on her face.

"That's alright. That there were you've just place the groceries is an island. But nevermind that, go on and wash up. I'm making spaghetti for dinner tonight." The woman shakes her head at A-Lora as she began grabbing pots and pans for the spaghetti.

"Huh" A-Lora walks around the island closer to the woman, "You want me to stay? But I'm a stranger to you." The woman, looks up at A-Lora. "Well then, what is your name."

"Well uh- well my" A-Lora clears her throat, "Sorry, my name is A-Lora." The woman smiles, her eyes crinkling. "Well it's nice to meet you A-Lora. I'm Amelia. Now that we're not strangers, would you like to stay for dinner."

------

A-Lora then found herself wondering around Amelia's house. She came to notice that the woman's house seemed very lonely. It was extremely quite except for the occasional clicks and bangs from the kitchen.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a tiny dog crawl though a small door. It was a long and slender dog and it's fur was black on the top half and brown on the bottom half of it's body.

"Aww you have a tiny door. How did they make a door this small?' A-Lora reaches down to the dog to pet it.

"Your unusually long for a dog. That's strange." A-Lora patted the small dog as she racked her bain to see if she had ever studied on that type of dog before.

A-Lora picks up the dog and makes her way to the kitchen. Amelia turns from the stove to find A-Lora with the dog and she smiles.

"Ah I see you've found gadget. Isn't she the cutest." A-Lora looks over to the woman and smiles back at her. "She's beautiful. Is her name gadget or is that her dog type?"

Amelia chuckles, "A-Lora you are just the cutest. Gadget here is actually a dashound. She just turned 12 this year."

A-Lora nods in understanding, "Ahh okay, I didn't study dogs often so I only know a few breeds."

A-Lora walks towards the living room to play with gadget while Amelia turns back to the stove smiling at A-Lora's odd nature.

"Actually A-Lora why don't you go and wash up. The spaghetti is done."

Amelia goes and pulls two bowls from the lower cabinets to make the plates.

"Okay, Miss Amelia I will." A-Lora call back as she makes her way to the bathroom.

"Am I cleaning my hands?" Amelia ask to herself with confusion. "Wash up is such a strange term to use but okay then."

------

The next morning, A-Lora found gadget asleep on the floor next to the couch she slept on.

A-Lora smiled at the older dog as she made her way to the kitchen as sweet scent filling her nose.

As A-Lora enters the kitchen she finds Amelia over at the stove making what seemed to be thin cake.

"Happy greetings Amelia. What are you making?" Amelia turns and smiles at A-Lora.

"Well happy greetings to you to. I'm making strawberry crepes. Would you like some?"

A-Lora nods excited as she goes to sit at the table. "I've never had crepes before what are they?"

Amelia makes grabs the plate with two strawberry crepes toped with chocolate and sets it on the table in front of A-Lora.

"You sure do seem to be learning a lot of new things lately. Where are you from? Are you in school?"

A small frown falls onto A-Lora's face as she begins to think about her home planet. "I'm not from around actually." A-Lora taps her fingers against the table thinking of a quick lie.

"I'm from a small city pretty far from here I don't think you'd know it's name. We're not as advanced as you guys here."

Amelia nods in slight understanding. "Oh okay then sweetie. How about school? How's that going for you?"

"Ooh I know this one!" A-Lora smiles excitedly as she goes to eat her crepes.

"Based of the two aging systems, I would be  entertaining my freshman year of highschool although my previous education and schooling pushes me way past the college level."
A-Lora finishes, her mouth full with the strawberries and chocolate.

Amelia takes a seat in front of A-Lora dazed by her extensive knowledge. "Well I sure can tell that your schooling sure is advanced sweetie." Amelia leans toward A-Lora in her chair as she continues.

"How would you feel about living here with me and going to Seabrook high then? The schools only a couple of blocks from here."

A-Lora's face lights up with excitement. "You mean you'd really let me stay?" Amelia nods, "Well yes. It has been lonely with just me and gadget all this time. Having a new face around would surely brighten the place."

Jumping up quickly, A-Lora reaches out and hugs Amelia tightly. "This is amazing! I would just need to grab my things if that is alright?"

"That would be perfect honey. I've got to head down to the office to talk with the mayor about getting you registered. What's your last name sweetie?"

A-Lora smiles brightly, "It's Hale."
Amelia nods, "What a coincidence my last name is Hale as well."

Amelia begins making her way to the living room, A-Lora following close behind. "I'll just tell the mayor that you're my granddaughter coming to stay with me from out of town."

A-Lora sits on the couch as gadget makes her way over to her. "That sounds awesome. I never had the chance to meet my grandmother."

The older woman smiles sympathetically unable to share A-Lora's pain. "I'm sorry to hear that but I hope you do enjoy your stay with me sweetie."

Shorter chapter today but we're about two-ish chapters from beginning the first movie I'm so excited to start introducing more characters.

What do you guys think of Amelia so far??

I'm so excited to finally start diving into the story now that I have established the main points. Although I'm not excited to have to go back and edit everything 🙃

I've been thinking about how I want the relationship between A-Lora and Wyatt to play out and I'm thinking slow burn with a few different ship dynamics. What are we thinking???

I'm still working on improving my writing as I want you readers to feel the emotions as I write so if you have any tips please share

Also guys I just thought about this but A-Lora and Wyatt are book smart x street smart and I love it so much!! I was also thinking about grump x sunshine but Wyatt isn't necessary a grump and A-Lora's to cute to be a grump although we'd get oblivious x blunt and I'm getting too excited and way ahead of myself
