Dan’s POV

It was Valentine’s Day and I had the perfect plan for Haylee. She had an early class, which was normally a class I was in as well, but I’d faked being ill to get out of it. Haylee hadn’t really wanted to go out tonight, so I’d changed my plans slightly. Grabbing my keys, I dashed out of the house and ran to the store. I picked out a box of chocolates and some roses. I paid the cashier and dashed back to the house to get ready. I showered and straightened my hair, putting on my suit. Deciding it was a bit too formal for my taste, I ditched the jacket, leaving me in the white dress shirt, pants and a black studded bowtie. Satisfied, I got started on the food.

Thankfully, I got everything done before Haylee got home. I set the table and grabbed the flowers and chocolates. Shutting off the lights, I waited as I heard her keys in the door. “Dan? I’m home, baby! How’re you feeling?” She called. “Strange, it’s so dark in here…” She flipped on the light and gasped when she saw the table.

“Do you like it?” I asked. She spun around and smiled at me.

“It’s gorgeous, Dan! Thank you!” She replied. I handed her the flowers and chocolates. “Oh they’re beautiful! And lindor truffles! My favorite!”

“I know you didn’t want to go out tonight, so I figured I’d do something for you here. I’m fine, by the way. I’m not sick.” I chuckled. Haylee blushed.

“Well, let me go get ready, okay?” I nodded as she ran off to her room to get changed. A few minutes later, she came out of her room wearing gorgeous purple dress. “I didn’t have anything red.” She commented shyly.

“You look gorgeous, love.” I whispered, pulling her close. She chuckled and kissed me. We sat down at the table and began to eat dinner. It was amazing. After dinner, I cleaned up the table and decided to spontaneously ask Haylee to dance with me. “Would you care to dance, Ms. Wright?” I asked, offering her my hand. We danced around the room to ‘Love is Easy’ by McFly.

Haylee was laughing, her laughter filling up the room. It was soothing and melodic, the best thing I’d ever heard. Suddenly, I tripped and fell backward onto the couch, Haylee landing on top of me. We burst out laughing and I kissed her. She kissed me back and we just lay on the couch. It was truly the perfect day. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Haylee.” I whispered.

      “Happy Valentine’s Day, Dan.”

Phil’s POV

I waited outside the door, tapping my foot to the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody. Why? I wasn’t too sure. It’s too depressing a song for Valentine’s Day. Finally, Chassidy emerged, wearing a beautiful red dress and fuzzy black boots. I grinned as she gasped at the suit I was wearing. Well… I say suit. It was more of a tux.

“Ready for a ‘night out in the town’?” I asked, wrapping my arm around her waist.

“Of course! But… where are we going?”

“Someplace you’ve always talked about going but we just haven’t gotten the time yet.”

She screwed her face up in thought. “Kenya?”

I laughed. “No. that’d be… strange. You’ll just have to wait and see.” Outside, a cabby honked the horn, so we both exited the flat and got in the limo waiting for us. Yes, I got a *limo*. Chassidy looked quite excited as we rode in it towards the river Thames. The cabbie stopped outside a little building near the banks, and Chassidy gave me a skeptical look. “This is where we are going?” she asked.

I nodded grinning and opened the door for her. She got out of the limo, as did I, and went inside the building. There was a counter with a guy standing behind it, and thousands of pairs of ice skates along the walls. Chassidy stood there stock still.

“Well? What do you think?” I asked her finally.

“Ice skating? How did you know I loved that? But… where is it at? There’s no rinks around here.”

“There is one, actually. The river itself.” I stated.

“We’re going ice skating… on the River Thames? Seriously?!”She gasped.

“Yes seriously, silly. I wouldn’t lie to you.” I chuckled.

“This is amazing!” She cried

After about an hour and three or four falls each, we finally stopped and sat down in the snow, with hot chocolate, of course.

“So… now what?” Chassidy asked, leaning against me.

“We could… go home and watch a movie. Or we could go get some coffee.” I noted.

“Coffee sounds good.”

“Okay. I think I know just the place.” We got another cab and went to a small coffee shop with comfy couches. She sipped her mocha and her eyes dropped down, almost falling asleep.

“Happy Valentine’s Day” I whispered to her, placing a kiss on her cheek. It was a perfect day.
