CHAELIN ♡ {BTS 8TH MEMBER}

A Little Update :)

Hello there!

This is simply a small life update and me telling all of you lovely readers what's going to happen to this book in the near future.

First and foremost, I want to say: Thank you.

Thank you for all the reads, comments, likes and the seemingly thousands of adds to reading lists. I have seen them all, and there are no words to describe how grateful I am for them. This story used to be my everything; my safe place to simply escape into an unreal world and communicate with you all. I started this book when I was still a teenager, and now I'm only a short while away from graduating with a bachelor's degree, and it's incredible to see how many of you have stayed with Chaelin and me all of those years.

That being said, I am sure that all of you have noticed how this book is pretty much abandoned. I think the last actual update must've been even before Covid started because I genuinely cannot remember the last time I actually worked on this book. My life has changed immensely ever since. My father passed away, I graduated in a global pandemic and became a dog mum, and I also started working a lot on myself. Throughout that time, kpop became more of a hobby and music that I enjoy listening to instead of something I actually commit a lot of time to and thus, BTS has, too, started to play a smaller part in my life. And as a result, this story has not been updated forever. I still love and cherish BTS and this story as a whole, but I cannot sit here and tell you that I am as invested as I have been when I first started this book in (I think) 2018. That being said, I have decided to end this story for now. It's not fair to you to keep on pretending that this book will be updated when in all reality, it will not be updated for a long time.

I will give this book a proper ending before I officially click the "Completed" button, though most "chapters" will simply contain what happened in Chaelin's life following the affair scandal that I pretty much ended the last update with (see "Chaelin's 2019" for more context if needed). Much likely, you'll get two more chapters like this, detailing Chaelin's 2020, 2021/2022 and a few more bonus content chapters before I close this story. I might return to this story one day; maybe I won't. Initially, I had a second book planned (the draft even exists on my Wattpad) which already had a few chapters. But I'm saving them in case I ever do want to get back to this.
