After numerous speculations over the past few days, we have decided to openly address the rumours regarding our artists Kim Namjoon and Kim Chaelin of BTS.
After discussing the situation with both of them and BTS, we hereby confirm that Namjoon and Chaelin married on the 8th of July with close friends and families attending. They were not trying to exclude their loyal fans by priorly denying an engagement, but rather trying to protect their privacy in a time like this. A wedding is first and foremost a union between two families that should remain an intimate affair with only those close involved.
"We love our fans and are forever grateful for their continuous support. This part of our life however, was something we wanted to keep to ourselves and our families," they told us. "We decided to now openly confess that we've gotten married. Our fans have been with us through everything and we dearly love them, so we want to be honest" Chaelin added.
The attendee who publicly spoke about the wedding will face legal consequences as issued by the pair and us [BigHit Entertainment] following breach of contract.

Twitter was a mess afterwards. The Hashtag #NamlinWedding trended worldwide once again. Whilst most people supported the newlyweds, others were not as happy and even demanded the two be removed from BTS. Neither Namjoon or Chaelin further said anything, nor did BigHit.
