BREAKING: Kpop sensation Chaelin from the group BTS has been involved in a car crash around three in the morning! The 18 year old singer was on her way back from filming a comeback stage at the CJ E&M Center for Mnet when her managers car was T-boned by an oncoming truck. The manager, who was driving the car only sustained mild injuries, whereas Chaelin sat on the side that was hit. The driver of the truck was apparently driving without a license and is currently being held by the police. Few information is currently know about Chaelin herself but a witness recalls that paramedics resurrected her at the scene before taking her to the Seoul National University Hospital. A spokesperson only answered that Chaelin was in her sixth hour of surgery and that at the moment, they were not able to say more. The boys of BTS and BigHit's Ceo Bang Si-Hyuk were seen entering the hospital but no word has yet come from the agency regarding the incident.
Chaelin who just released her second solo album "palette." was only on her second week of promotion. Her promotional songs "Woman" and "The Rain" were both charting on number one and two in their first week of release and have re-gained their chart positions only hours after the accident and #PrayForChaelin as well as #StayStrongChaelin trended internationally on all SNS, with both fans and fellow artists sharing their thoughts and prayers alike

Hello, this is Bang Si-Hyuk of BigHit Entertainment. With a heavy heart, I have to confirm that our dear artist and friend Chaelin has been indeed involved in a car accident on Thursday night. On her way back from a promotional event, the car she was in was hit sideways and crashed into a wall. Her manager is well under the given circumstances and currently only in a state of shock. Chaelin herself was resurrected at the scene and is currently at Seoul National University Hospital, where she underwent a eleven hour long surgery. As we have been told, she suffered from numerous broken bones as well as abdominal and cranial injuries. For medical reasons, she is currently in a medical induced coma, however, her family does not wish to further share information on the matter.
All of us at BigHit Entertainment are incredibly overwhelmed by the support and love BTS' fans and friends have shown, however, we now ask for our artists' and their family's privacy in times like these. We also ask the press to not ask for further statements as we, BigHit Entertainment will inform anyone should we have any news that Chaelin's family is alright with sharing.
