Chapter 5
I sat up in bed, Georgi and the other girls were giggling “Lena look” Georgi whispered and pointed towards Alexa’s bed. I looked over and saw that Seamus was in Alexa’s bed with her. I grinned and said “My little brother” I said and laughed. Georgi said “They’re sure getting close, I wonder if they’ve snogged” she laughed and then Alexa slowly woke up. When her eyes opened she blushed “Don’t stare like that” she said to all of us.
We grinned and Seamus woke up “Ugh, what happened?” Seamus asked tiredly. Alexa blushed again and Seamus looked around “Oh, sorry ladies” he said and got out of Alexa’s bed. “See you later Alexa” he said and smiled then walked out. Georgi laughed and said “Wow Alexa looks like you got a boyfriend, have you snogged?” Alexa shook her head “We want to wait, Seamus said it’s a good idea” I grinned and nodded “Good idea, you should wait and make sure Seamus doesn’t get into a lot of trouble”.
Georgi nodded and said “He seems like a punk, and he might get in a fight with Blaise soon, and if they duel Blaise might kill him, you never know” I nodded “I really hope Seamus doesn’t get killed”. Alexa nodded “If Blaise does kill Seamus I’ll duel him myself” Georgi grinned. “You sure are crazy about him” Alexa nodded “I can’t help it he has a way with words, he makes me happy”.
We all changed into our school robes and went downstairs where all the boys were, Seamus was leaning against the wall next to the portrait door, grinning. Alexa smiled at him and she smiled back. One of the seventh years opened the door and we piled out of the common room and headed downstairs to the Great Hall, Slytherin and Ravenclaw were already there. We all sat down, Georgi, Alexa and me sat with Ginny and Harry and Ron and Hermione. We were all talking about Quidditch, Ron wanted to be keeper, Harry was going to try out for seeker, Ginny wanted to be a chaser, Georgi and I wanted to be chasers too. Alexa wanted to be a beater, she thought it might be fun. We all smiled and agreed to try to be the team, Harry said he was holding tryouts tonight, we all were excited about it, Seamus came over and said “Sign me up for beater dude” then walked off.
Harry grinned and said “You’ll have to try out, six o’clock tonight” after Seamus. Seamus waved as he walked away. We all grinned until we saw Blaise walking after him “I’ll go make sure he doesn’t get killed” I said and then stood up. Alexa stood up “I’m coming too” I nodded and we walked after Seamus and Blaise. We looked outside and saw Blaise and Seamus leaving the courtyard, we walked after them quickly. We ducked behind a wall as they walked towards the Forbidden Forest. I sighed “They’re going to duel, if it’s get bad we intervene agreed?” Alexa nodded. Blaise and Seamus walked past Hagrid’s hut and into the Forbidden Forest. We ran down to the hut and ducked behind the wall until they were out of sight, then we ran after them.
They were standing in the middle of the forest, facing each other, wands raised. Blaise was first to strike. “Confringo” he yelled and the spell shot towards Seamus “Protego” he yelled and the spell hit the shield, exploding in flames. “Conjunctivis” Blaise yelled and Seamus clutched at his eyes “Shit” he spat out and straightened back up. “Expiliarmus!” Seamus yelled but Blaise deflected it and yelled “Expulso” the spell flew out, hit the ground in front of Seamus and exploded.
Seamus was thrown back against a tree and he groaned and got up slowly. “Petrefus Totallus!” Blaise yelled and Seamus instantly stood like a soldier at attention. He fell to the ground and Blaise walked over and held his wand over Seamus “Crucio” he growled and Seamus started to writhe in pain. Alexa and I drew our wands and ran out, I pointed my wand at Blaise while Alexa ran to Seamus. “Drop the wand Blaise” I said and he dropped his wand.
“Good, now” I was interrupted by Seamus raising his wand and yelling out “Sectumsempra” Blaise flew back, I couldn’t believe that Seamus knew that spell. Blaise had cuts all over his chest. I helped him up and we started to walk back toward the castle, Alexa was supporting Seamus. When we got in the courtyard some people were sitting there, they gasped at the blood running down both Blaise and Seamus’s chests.
Georgi ran over and helped me support Blaise “Oh God Lena what happened?” she asked. “They dueled, it got bad” Georgi nodded and then people started freaking out when Blaise coughed out blood. My dad and a couple other teachers ran out of the castle. My dad looked at Seamus and his eyes widened, he ran over and asked Seamus something. Seamus shrugged and the other teachers took Seamus and Blaise from us and rushed them upstairs. Alexa sat on the ground “Oh God Seamus, why did you have to fight” she asked herself with her head in her hands.
Georgi and me walked over “Don’t worry, they’ll be fine, come on Alexa” I said and held out my hand. She took it and I helped her up. “I hope Seamus is ok, but Blaise used and unforgivable curse on him,” I sighed “Don’t wish hurt on someone, let’s get to class ok Alexa” she nodded and we went down to potions class. I could tell Alexa wasn’t paying attention to class, she had her head in her hands and she hadn’t touched any of the ingredients.
We were making Black Fire potion. Professor Slughorn said it was good for walking through fire and other things like that. When we were finished Professor Slughorn came around and checked the potions by lighting a candle and touching it after taking the potion.
Mine and Georgi’s worked, so did Alexa’s because her partner worked. When school was over Alexa, Me, Georgi, Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Seamus , who was released from the Hospital Wing went out to the Quidditch pitch to try out.
When it was over I thought I did pretty well. Harry told us to have some fun and he would be back in an hour with the results. Georgi, Alexa, Ginny and me all sat down in the stands and started talking. Seamus was flying around on his broom enjoying himself. Ron was chasing after him. They seemed to be having some good fun. “So Alexa are you and Seamus dating now?” Georgi asked.
Alexa nodded and smiled. “He asked me last night, that’s why I was so worried about him today, I mean I saw my boyfriend get hit by an unforgivable curse”. I nodded “That’s gotta be rough, at least he’s ok now though” I said looking up at Seamus who was still flying around the stadium. Alexa nodded and smiled again “I have to admit, he’s tough”. Georgi nodded “He’ll make a good beater, probably get all the bludgers and keep them away from you” I laughed “I’m sure that actually is what he’s going to do”. A few minutes later Harry walked out of the locker room, he called us down and we all crowded around him. “Ok the chasers are Georgi, Ginny, and Alena. The beaters are Alexa and Seamus. Since I’m the only one who wanted to be seeker that’s me. And keeper is Ron Weasley” We all smiled. “Just like we wanted” I whispered to Georgi and she nodded.
The people that hadn’t been picked walked away “Ok team, we start practicing tomorrow meet here at six ok?” we all grinned and nodded and then Harry told us to go enjoy our evening. Seamus and Alexa walked off towards the castle. Ginny and Harry stayed at the stadium, Ron and Hermione went off into the castle somewhere, and me and Georgi decided to walk around. We went around the whole castle, we even found some old passages before we decided to go to Hogsmeade real quick.
We left the castle and we ran out to the gate and opened it and I disapperated us to the front of the three broomsticks. We went in and ordered a couple of butter beers. After we were done we went back to the castle and jogged up to the Gryffindor common room.
Alexa and Seamus were sitting in a chair together. Georgi, Seamus, Alexa and me all sat around and talked about all different things until about one am when we decided to go to bed. Alexa kissed Seamus on the on the cheek then ran upstairs. We followed her upstairs and changed, then we all went to bed, I could tell Alexa was daydreaming about Seamus. I fell asleep, thinking about George and Blaise, and Seamus, I still worried about him. My dreams were filled with images of dueling and battles. I hated it.
