Snape's Daughteer part 2

                               Chapter 2

            The first thing I felt was nausea and seconds later I puked. Luckily my dad had somehow gotten behind me so I didn't puke on him. "Oh, I'm sorry Alena I forgot you had never Floo traveled before" he said and steadied me with his cold hands. When I was steady we started walking to a building with a sign that said "Olivanders" when we were right outside I heard someone call "Hey snape!" Me and my dad turned to see, a man with a buzzcut wearing a long black robe and metal armor on his front walking towards us. My dad handed me some coins and said "Go inside and get your wand, when you get out go to the robe shop, I'll be back at Hogwarts later, I love you" he said and hugged me. With that he turned and walked to the man. I went into the shop where a old man was walking through rows of boxes and when I walked in he turned and looked at me "Ah, a student come in, come in," He scurried over and took my hand. "My name is Olivander, wandmaker and I suppose you need a wand today?" I nodded and Olivander smiled "Of course and we must remember the usedr doesn't pick the wand the wand picks the user" Olivander walked over to the shelf and pulled of a box. "Elm with Mahagony middle" he said and handed it to me. "Flick your wrist" he said. I did and a bolt of energy shot out and hit a vase, smashing it. "Ok not that one" he said. He handed me about ten more until he gave me one that was holly with ebony middle. When I touched it a wind came from nowhere and blew my hair back. "That's the one" olivander said and put it back in it's box and handed it to me. "Ten Galleons" he said. I counted out ten of the coins my dad had given me and gave them to him "Thank you" he said. I turned and walked out the door. When I looked down the street I saw flashes of red and green and I heard people yelling spells. I walked to the alley were the lights were coming from and saw my dad and the man flinging spells at each other. "Stupefy!" the man yelled and the spell hit my dad, and he flew backward to where I was standing. "Alena" he said when he saw me. "Ah, is this your little girl, Serve?" The man grinned wickedly at me and yelled "Sectumsempra!" the spell flew at me and when it hit me I was knocked backward and pain exploded in my body. I screamed and started to cry and my dad got up weakly he turned to the man and yelled "Avada Kadavra!" the spell flew from his wand and hit the man and I saw him fly backward, my dad ran over to me and cradled my head "Oh no, no, no" he said with tears in his eyes. I could feel a warm liquid running down my chest, blood. "I don't want to die, dad" I cried. My dad held his wand above me and said an incantation that sounded like a song "Don't worry honey you're not going to die" he said when he was done. He picked me up and then told me he was going to take me to the infirmary at Hogwarts. I nodded and my dad saw the wand clutched in my hand. He took it and put it into his pocket, 'Rest now honey" he said and I nodded and then I felt sleep overtake me.

       When I woke up I was laying in a small bed with sunlight flittering through a window above me. On a table in front of me were a multitude of cards. I picked them up and read them all, most of them were from some of the slytherin's but there were some from Gryffindor and ravenclaw as well. The last thing I picked up was a wrapped parcel with a note on top it read "Hope you like it, dad"  I picked it up and opened it. The box contained my wand, a robe with the slytherin crest on the front pocket and a green and silver scarf and gloves. I smiled, my dad was awesome. I laid back down and looked at the scar across my chest, was that from the spell that man had cast? A couple seconds later the nurse who's name was Madam Pomfrey came into view. "Oh hello dear, how are you doing this morning?" she asked with a sweet smile on her face. "I'm doing well ma'am did my father say when he was going to be back?" Madam Pomfrey shook her head. 'No, he didn't but he seemed very worried about you so I'm sure he'll be back soon, don't you worry' she said. I nodded and lay back down. I lay there for most of the day, waiting for my dad to show up but he doesn't so I decide to ask Madam Pomfrey if I can get up and put on my slytherin robe. She agreed and she helped me out of the bed and made sure I didn't fall while I was putting on the robe. When I laid back down Madam Pomfrey bought me some dinner on a buggey wheeled up by the janitor, Filch. She put the tray infront of me and on the side was a chocolate frog with a note infront of it, it read. "Sorry I haven't been able to see you all day Honey, it's been busy, I know you've never had one of these but I hope you'll like it, I'll be up to see you tonight Love, Dad" I smiled when I was done reading the note and folded it up then put it in my robe pocket. I ate most of my dinner and then picked up the chocolate frog, it looked good and I took a bite out of it and it tasted like heaven in my mouth, I ate the whole thing in about half a minute. When I was done Madam Pomfrey took the tray away and I thanked her as she left and she smiled and said "No problem, honey". I laid back down and curled up in my robes and felt sleep overtake me. The next time I was woken by my dad's voice. He was gently singing a lullaby. I opened my eyes and looked at my dad who until a few days ago I hadn't known existed but now I couldn't imagine life without him. "Sorry, honey I didn't mean to wake you" he said. I smiled "It's fine, I really wanted to see you anyway" My dad smiled back "Madam Pomfrey says you can leave tomorrow afternoon ok? I'll be here as soon as you get out, ok?" I nodded "Hey dad, who was that guy you were fighting in the alley?' My dad frowned "That man, was a death eater, don't worry honey you won't have to worry about them" he said. I smiled and threw my arms around his neck "Thanks, dad" I said and he wrapped his arms around me. "Oh and I have your Christmas present" My dad said and he picked up a box from the floor and handed it to me. "You're the best dad" I said and I opened the box. Inside was a pillow that looked like the slytherin crest and a necklace with a charm on it that had the symbol for every house. " I love them dad" I said happily. "I hoped, you would but you'll have to wait till tomorrow to get the last part of it, it's in your room" he said and I threw my arms around him again. "You are the best dad ever!" I exclaimed. My dad laughed and hugged me back. "Get some rest honey tomorrow you go back to going to school and on Thursday you have you first class with me" he said.  He unwrapped his arms and stood up he kissed my forehead and said "I'll bring in the rest of your present in the morning sweet dreams honey" he said and walked slowly out of the medical wing. When I knew he was gone I felt alone, I grabbed my slytherin pillow and hugged it, thinking of my dad and a couple minutes later sleep overtook me again. When I woke up my dad was sitting next to me and I heard a quiet hooting. "Morning honey" My dad said and hugged me. I hugged him back and over the shoulder I spotted a cage, what did he get me? A cat? A dog? When my dad broke the hug he picked up the cage and I crossed my legs and sat up so he could set it on the bed. When he put it down he took off the cover to reveal a black owl. It hooted when it saw me and I felt my face light up with happiness "I swear you are the best dad in the whole world!" I exclaimed. "Oh and your mother sent something" my dad said pulling another box off the floor. I opened it and inside was a textbook that said "Advanced Potions" and a lot  of other textbooks written on the inside of all of them was "Property of the Half-Blood Princess" I smiled, "Can I send a letter to mom?" I asked. My dad nodded and took out a piece of parchment and a quill and handed them to me. I wrote "Hey mom, thanks for the textbooks, I love it here, and I love dad, miss you, Love Lena" I rolled up the parchment and my dad tied it to my owl's leg and let it fly. He stood up and kissed me on the forehead "See you when you get out honey" he said and walked out of the medical wing. I know one thing for sure now, I love my dad and I hope he never goes away.
