Chapter 12, Decisions

                                                  Chapter 12

                I woke up a few days later in my room, Blaise was sitting in a chair next to me. "Hey Alena" he said when I woke up. I smiled "Hey Blaise, how long have you been here?" Blaise grinned "I don't know a couple days I think" Blaise got up, went over to a drawer and got a glass of water off of it then came back and gave it to me. I drank the water in one swallow "So, Blaise why did you stay here for so long?" Blaise looked nervous and shrugged in a weird way "Because I care about you and I wanted to make sure you would be ok" My eyes widened involuntarily, did Blaise just say he had a crush on me or had he said that as a friend? I bit my lip trying to find the right words to say. "Blaise what do you mean by that?" I asked. Blaise looked puzzled "The caring about you, well" he put his hand on mine and then leaned in "More than a friend" then he kissed me. It was weird, feelings lips other than George's on mine. A couple seconds later Blaise broke the kiss "I.. I'm sorry about that I just wanted you to know how I felt". I nodded "It's ok Blaise, I understand as long as you know I'm still dating George though" Blaise nodded his eyes reflecting sadness. "Yeah I know, that's why I didn't tell you in the first place" I patted Blaise's hand "Hey, look on the bright side, a lot of girls would b lucky to have you" Blaise smiled "Thanks Alena, that's really nice" Blaise took something out of his pocket and put it in my hand. I looked at it, the item was the snitch. "That's the snitch you caught in your first game I thought you would like to have it" I nodded, looking at the tiny golden ball. "Thank you Blaise" I said. Blaise nodded then got up and left, leaving me feeling guilty and alone.
