Snape's Daughter(a harry potter fanfic)

2nd Summer Part 1

                    OK first of all, this Summer will be many different points of view, mostly Seamus, Alexa, and a new character I have not revealed yet ;)

                            Summer Part 1

                                Seamus p.o.v

            I flew through the countryside of Ireland on my way to an old mansion, where there was someone I was supposed to save. I had been chosen by the ministry to be what they call a “Junior Auror” and help out around the ministry, plus with other things.

            Since I was the best of what I call my squad, I had been chosen to help a girl who had apparently been captured by three or four death eaters, the ministry told me if I could do this by myself a position as an Auror would be secured for me when I graduated Hogwarts, these Death Eaters were apparently some of Voldemort’s most elite, and there had been some unconfirmed intel that there could also be dementors in and around the mansion.

            A few minutes later, the mansion came into view, and to my horror, there were dementors around the mansion, I didn’t know how many, I just knew this was bad, very bad. But I wasn’t about to let Mad Eye give me another scolding for running from a challenge like I did on my first day. I sighed and set down in a field maybe an American football field distance away. I put the broom in a line of brush, marked the place with an x, then started jogging toward the mansion.

            When I was maybe thirty feet from the dementors they started to come near me, I quickly cast a Protronus on the other side of the drive that lead up to the mansion, when the dementors saw it they went towards it, and thank God not a minute too soon.

        I ran up to the wall that surrounded the Victorian style white mansion and climbed it, then dropped to the ground. I looked around for a pipe or some loose bricks, and when I found some I started to climb up to the second story. When I reached the windowsill I heard talking from the inside, it didn’t sound like just three or four people, it sounded like twenty, or more. Again I was tempted to apperate back to the ministry and tell Mad Eye, but then he would make sure I was never an Auror.

              I climbed over the sill into a hallway that led straight to an open door where I could see multiple people gathered inside, I jumped to the cover of a column instantly and drew my wand, then I heard footsteps coming towards me. “Oh no” I thought “They saw me” but the person walked right past, and I held my breath until they were out of sight.

              I sneaked from behind the door and ran quickly to the doorway, where I slipped onto the side of the doorway, wand raised to my lips. I heard all of them move, and I hoped that they were turned so they wouldn’t see me. I quickly turned and ran as quietly as I could into the room, all the people had their backs to me. I ducked behind a desk and waited, I could hear them questioning the girl about multiple things, then they started to threaten her.

              At that I had a choice to make, let them hurt the girl, or risk my own life to save her like I was supposed to. I sighed, whispered a quick prayer, than shot off a stupefy towards one of the death eaters, he flew back and out the window. All the others drew their wands and started flinging multiple spells at me, most I recognized as the blood red of crucio, or the bright green of Avada Kadavra.

              I kept flinging stupefy and expilliarmus until it appeared either all the death eaters near or around the girl were stunned or disarmed, I ran to her, cut the ropes that held her wrists together, then picked her up with one arm and started running. Even though the girl was fourteen, she felt like she only weighed seventy or eighty pounds, but she was about my height, this wasn’t good, I think the death eaters had starved her.

                    I found the window I had come in through and jumped out, I landed on my feet on the wall I had climbed, I jumped again and started running through the field, spells hit all around my heels, and I could feel the cold of dementors behind me. I thought I was going to die, then and there. But then I found the X and grabbed my broom, I kicked off without mounting the broom, then I realized I could apperate and I tried, but I couldn’t, there was a seal around the mansion grounds for a mile.

                      I pulled myself and the girl onto the broom and started throwing spells back at the death eaters and dementors. When I felt myself pass through the seal I apperated back to the ministry.

                I apperated into the main hall with the girl held tightly in my arms, my broom lay beside me, and Mad Eye Moody stood above me. “Good to see ye’ then lad” he said and picked me up by the arm. “

      “Thank you Mad Eye” I said as a couple other Aurors came and picked up the girl. “How was our intel then?” Moody asked. “Twenty or more death eaters, and plenty of dementors” Mad Eye sighed. “Sorry son, our intel isn’t always that good, I guess you’ve earned yourself a position as an Auror then, but there’s one more thing I want you to do for me and the rest of the ministry” I raised a brow “What would that be sir?” I asked.

         Mad Eye looked me dead in the eyes “I want you to help us move Harry Potter, Voldemort and his friends could be after us, we could use your skill” I nodded “When will this be sir?” I asked. “It’ll be when it is, now go rest son, you’ve earned it” I thanked him then left.
