7th Year Part 1
I woke up on the first day of school dreading it, my traitor of a father was headmaster now and I had heard there were going to be death eaters replacing the teachers.
I got out of bed and got dressed, George wouldn’t be coming to the station with me but I was going to meet Alexa and Georgi downstairs. George kissed me goodbye “I love you Lena, keep yourself safe please” I nodded “I’ll try George” I said and kissed him. He smiled “Remember to stay close to the other girls, and try and stay out of trouble” I grinned “I will George” I said and got my bag then went downstairs where Alexa Georgi and Ginny were waiting.
Harry Ron and Hermione still hadn’t come back, none of us knew where they were. “You ready Lena?” Georgi asked and I nodded. “So is Fred escorting us?” she nodded “He says he is” Fred came downstairs smiling. “You girls ready to go?” we nodded and Fred apperated us all to King’s Cross. He led us all to the train and went on with us “I’m going to come to Hogwarts with you then leave, just to make sure”
Georgi blushed a bit and nodded. We all got in a compartment and sat down, Georgi sat at the window with George right next to her, I sat closest to the door. I looked over at Alexa, she was looking down at the floor, I could see sadness in her eyes.
She was holding a small picture of her and Seamus, it showed them hugging and then leaning in to kiss, I sighed and sat back, Alexa was going to be like this until all this ended, until Seamus comes back. I wondered when that would be, until there were no more death eaters? Until Voldemort was dead? I sighed and sat with my head in a hand.
“Alena, have you heard anything from Seamus?” asked Alexa tiredly “No, I haven’t, he was going to call anyone it’d probably be you” she nodded. “I’m just so tired, I haven’t been able to sleep since he left” I nodded “I know, I’ve heard you upstairs”
She nodded “I know, the thing is, I used to sleep fine without him, but now, I feel like I cant live without him with me”
I nodded “I know how you feel, I used to be that way without George, and it’s still hard for me to live without him” Alexa sighed “I just wish I had some way to know that Seamus is safe, or at least that he’s still alive” I nodded. “Well hopefully he’ll be back at Hogwarts this year” I said.
She nodded “He said he has to graduate to keep his job as an auror” I smiled “So he probably is going to be there” she nodded and slumped back “Just wake me up when we get to Hogwarts ok?” I nodded “I will Alexa” a few minutes later she was asleep, I looked over and noticed that Georgi and Fred were sleeping too.
I decided to go and find another compartment to sit in. I opened the door and walked out, I started walking down the hall until I found a compartment with two girls in it I opened the door slowly. The two girls looked up at me “Hey, uh, can I sit in here?” I asked. One of the girls smiled “Sure, come on in” I closed the door and sat down beside her. “So, what’s your name?” the girl asked. “Alena Snape, what about you?” the girl was still smiling “I’m Heidi” Heidi had brown hair and brown eyes.
“Who’s the other girl?” I asked. The girl with reddish orange shoulder length hair was kind of shying away, her eyes were green, like the color of a clover. “Her name is Lynx, she’s kinda shy” Lynx smiled shyly “Hey Lena” she said. “What house are you guys in?” I asked and Heidi grinned “I’m in Slytherin, we used to share a dorm, but I never got your name” I looked over at Lynx “What about you?” She grinned wide. “I’m hufflepuff, I’ve played you in quidditch before, I’m seeker”
I nodded “I remember now, sorry I didn’t recognize you” she shrugged. “It’s ok, I’m not that noticeable anyway” I smiled “You seem like a real nice girl, and you seem plenty noticeable to me” she shrugged. “Yeah, thanks Lena” she said and smiled.
Heidi smiled at me “So I saw you and Blaise Zabini last year, do you two have a thing going on?” I shook my head. “We kinda did for awhile, but I’m actually engaged to George Weasley” she grinned. “Ok then” I raised my brow “Why are you asking?” she grinned.
“I kinda…have a crush on him” I smiled “Well as far as I know he’s free for picking, have fun with that” I looked over at Lynx “Do you like anyone?” she shrugged. “I guess, I don’t know his name though, I just met him today” she looked across the hall. “Him” he followed her gaze and saw a compartment with only one person sitting in it, he was wearing a black baseball cap, jeans that has rips in them, and a green shirt that was missing a sleeve.
He had a wallet hanging from his waistband on a chain, a studded black bracelet, and he had a tattoo on his showing upper arm of an odd tribal symbol, his hair was chestnut brown. “Wow, he’s quite a catch, but he looks kinda creepy” she shrugged. “To me, he’s pretty hot, even if he does look a lot like a punk” I nodded “Maybe you should go talk to him” she looked nervous. “Will you come with me?” I nodded “Sure, we’ll be right back Heidi” I said and opened the door and walked over to the other compartment where the boy was sitting and opened the door.
Lynx went in first and sat down, I sat down beside her and the boy looked up, when he saw me I faintly saw recognition, then surprise in his eyes. “H-hey” he stuttered out. Lynx grew more nervous “Hi, my name’s Lynx, this is Alena, what’s your name?” The boy smiled a bit “Solomon Antony Santiago” his tan skin identified he was Spanish, as did the name. “Well uh, I need to use the bathroom” Solomon said and got up then walked out into the hall.
He didn’t come back.
