                 Chapter 4

     Harry walked between everyone and  said "Ok, who's next?" George raised his hand and so did another girl "be careful" I said. George nodded and walked to the opening nearest to us. When both he and the girl were ready Harry raised his fist and after a few seconds he dropped it. Suddenly, it was like an explosion had hit the far wall. It shook and mirrors fell off of it. One of the kids walked up to towards it and I walked to the front of the crowd. Then, the wall exploded. Chunks of rock and dust flew at me, for a minute I was blind and when I could see I felt an arm wrap around my neck and a wand was pressed to my head. "Alena!" I heard George yell then I heard him run towards me. The wand was taken away from my head and I saw it pointed at George. "crucio" the voice said and I recognized it as Umbridge. The curse hit George and he fell to the ground moaning in agony. "Everyone drop your wands or next time the girl gets it" I heard wands hit the floor and then Umbridge released me. I ran to George and knelt at his side, tears ran down his cheeks and he screamed in agony. "Shut up" Umbridge said and then I heard her say "Crucio"  and George screamed louder. "Stop it! Please!" I yelled and started to cry "Don't hurt him" I whimpered. I wrapped my arms around George and put my head on his chest. "If you want to hurt him you have to go through me" I said.

        Suddenly I felt firm hands clamp around my arms and I was yanked off George. Me and the others were led out of the room and taken to Dumbledore's office. Harry, Hermione, Ron and I  were taken inside. When we got to the top of the stairs I saw my dad standing with Dumbledore. "Alena?" he asked as we were lead to the side of the room. I nodded and kept my head down, eyes on the floor until I felt my dad's arm clamp around my arm and he led me out of the office. When we got to the stairs he said "Why did you join them, why did you want to fight, didn't you know you would get caught, do you know you can get expelled for this?" Tears came to my eyes, every word seemed to stab me like a knife. "I didn't know dad" I sobbed "George Weasley asked me to join and I said ok, I didn't know we could get in trouble for it" I started crying and my dad hugged me. "Shh" he quieted me "It's okay, it's not your fault calm down" he said. I nodded "Ok dad and also Umbrige cursed George can we make sure he's okay?" I asked. My dad nodded and led me through the door and towards the medical wing. George was in a bed, sleeping, when we got into the medical wing. I sat down next to him "I'm so sorry George" I said with tears in my eyes. "This is all my fault, if I hadn't been so close to Umbridge she wouldn't have grabbed me and you wouldn't have gotten cursed" I started to cry and a few of my tears dripped onto George's face. He tightened his eyes and then opened them "Alena?" he asked. I threw my arms around him "Oh George, I'm so glad you're okay" I said, tears of joy now flowing down my cheeks. George put his arms around me and said "I heard what you were saying, it isn't your fault, I was reckless, it's my fault" When I pulled back George was smiling at me, "Meet me in the courtyard tonight at midnight," I smiled "Ok, I will" I said happily. George wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a kiss. When our lips melt I went totally numb, and then after a few seconds I realized our lips were still touching and I kissed him back. When George broke the kiss he smiled and said "I love you Lena, I can't wait to see you tonight" I smiled and said "I can't wait either George" and with that I stood up and left the medical wing, heading for lunch. I didn't eat much while I say with Blaise, after lunch we headed down to the dungeons for Potions class. When we got inside my dad told everyone to start on the potion on page thirty three and then pulled me aside "Is George ok?" he asked me and I nodded. "Alena, I have something to ask you, why did you need to know he was ok?" I thought for a moment about what to tell him. "Because he took a curse trying to save me dad" my dad frowned. "There's another reason isn't there?" he asked. I blushed "No" I said. My dad grinned "You're a very bad liar" he said. I blushed even redder "Ok, I have a crush on him" I said. My dad snickered "Ok, now get to work" he said. He patted me on the back and I went to my workplace with Blaise. He had already started brewing so I helped him finish the potion and then we poured it into a vial and waited for my dad to come around and judge them. When he did he put a leaf in the small vial of potion. It burnt and withered and my dad said "Good job you two" he said. My dad walked around and finished judging then excused us. We headed to Defense Against The Dark Arts which we also shared with Gryffindor, I hoped that George was well enough to come to class. When we got into the class room I saw George sitting at his place from yesterday and I sat down next to him. "Hey Lena" he said and wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. I put my head on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead and Umbridge walked into the room. "Hello everyone, today we will be studying the unforgivable curses" she said. Umbridge passed out the books and we all turned to the page with unforgivable curses on it. We read about the curses and after class I headed to the common room. It was about four so I went to bed to make sure I would be rested for when I met George at midnight. When I woke up it was eleven thirty so I got up and got dressed and went out the portrait door. I went up through the dungeons and out into the courtyard. George was sitting on a bench and I walked over "Hey honey" I said and sat down next to him. George kissed me and said "Hey honey, how was your day" I shrugged and said "All I did was sleep after Defense Against the Dark Arts" George smiled "That's my girl" he said and wrapped his arm around me. I snuggled into his chest and he wrapped his other arm around me. We looked up at the stars and I said "It's beautiful out tonight" George nodded "yeah, it is" He pulled me up into his lap so now I was sitting with my head against his chest. We stared up at the stars and talked for a hour or two" Eventually I fell asleep against George's chest.
