In every eighteenth birthday in our family granted a wish. Tomorrow is my eighteenth birthday and I'm so excited.
I'm the youngest daughter of Triton the king of Merland.
"So what will be your wish for your birthday Ariel?"
"You know what I'm wishing for, Flounder." I smiled at him. Flounder is my friend fish since I was a child.
Sa aming pitong magkakapatid ako ang pinakapaborito ng aming ama sapagkat naalala niya sa akin ang aking inang si Reyna Athena. I don't know but my Father said that my mother died because of a malicious pirate named Captain Hook killed her but some said that my mother killed accidentally, she bumped into a royal ship and stuck into the bottom of the ship when it's sinked in to the ocean. I don't know what's real and where should I believe. Just like me Queen Athena had a fiery red hair and emerald tail. Others say that I look like Queen Athena. I don't know either because since I raised, I never saw my mother because she died in unexplainable reasons.
"So tell us Ariel, what will be your wish?"
"I want to go to the land. I want to see the outside world. I want to see the humans who killed my mother that you mentioned."
"Are you insane Ariel?! Your mother died because of that humans! And you wanted to see them?! I will not grant your wish Ariel because humans are super dangerous. I don't want to repeat the history why your mother died. You're too young to explore the world Ariel. So stay in your room!" I didn't expect that King Triton will be shouting at me. I never seen my father so angry before.
Ganoon na lang ba ang galit niya sa mga tao? Wala naman silang ginagawa alam kong hindi ang mga tao ang pumatay sa aking ina.
I was so eager to explore the outside world. I shall find a means to fulfill my desire if my father doesn't want to allow it.
"What will you do Ariel?! Your father will be mad at you if he knows that you seek out to your room!"
"Hindi siya magagalit kung walang magsasabi. Sasamahan mo ba ako o hindi?"
"Sasamahan kita para makasiguradong ligtas ka, mabuti na 'yong sigurado." I just smiled at Flounder.
"I had a bad feeling about this Ariel."
"Wala namang masamang sumilip lang sa mundong ibabaw hindi ba?"
"Wala pero —"
"Tara na." Kaagad akong lumabas sa aking kuwarto at hindi na hinintay pa ang kanyang isasagot.
"Ang kulit." he mumbles that I barely heard while leaving my room.
Sa likod ng kastilyo kami dumaan ni Flounder upang hindi makita ng aking ama.
"Paglumampas na tayo sa istatwa ng iyong ama nasa parte na tayo ng mundo ng mga tao."
