The first lesson of the day was English- the only lesson I liked. Bev was in my class too so we would usually sit next to eachother, however today I wasn't sitting next to her.
I sat patiently in my chair waiting for Beverly to arrive. Belch and Victor walked in and Victor took the seat next to me, Belch right behind us.
"Hey Nat, can I sit here?" Vic asked.
"Uh. Well, Bev usually sits here-
"I'll take that as a yes then." He said pulling out the chair and sitting on it. He sat and stared at me in silence. Waiting for me to say something.
I cocked my head to the side, "What do you want?"
"I wanted to sit with you and talk obviously, it's what we always do in Chemistry is it not?" The blonde boy replied sarcastically.
"Stop it with the sarcasm Vic, I'm too tired for this." I spoke. By now I had completely forgotten about the whole crush situation. I was too tired to remember anything, so tired infact I forgot what day it was. Instead of thinking it was Tuesday I thought it was Thursday. Why? I don't know myself.
"He wanted to talk to you about something. I dunno what it is, but he said it was important." Belch added.
"And that YOU need to stay out of it. Move, dude." Vic insisted. He pointed his finger to an empty seat across the classroom at the back.
"Fuck you man!" Belch shook his head and moved to the other seat.
I spotted Beverly come into the classroom confused as to why Victor was sitting next to me.
"Why's Victor Criss sitting next to you? Is he your boyfriend or something?" She laughed. Vic sat up and looked Bev dead in the eye.
"I wouldn't date her even if I was paid to."
I had a look of shock plastered onto my face.
"Well that's just rude!" I said jokingly.
"Besides, someone else wants to." He winked at me and returned his attention to Bev.
"You gonna tell her?" She asked Victor.
"Not infront of you that's for sure!" He answered. She chuckled to herself and found another seat.Time passed before Victor opened his mouth again.
"Nat?"
"Hm?"
"You're still coming to mine after school, right?"
"Yeah."
"Ok, cool. Cool.."
I turned to face him.
"What the fuck's up with you? You sound weird." I laughed.
"Nothing's up with me. I'm just bored and wanna talk." He responded.
"Then talk? I'm right here?" I questioned.
He sunk into his seat before speaking up.
"Someone likes ya." He smirked.
"Oh, yeah I totally never knew that. I was definitely not told by two people already!" I sarcastically replied.
"I knowww. Have you been told who it is yet?"
I shook my head.
"Oh. Well I'll tell you. But you promise me on your life you won't tell anyone! Not even Cassie, or Beverly, or that trash mouth of a brother you've got. And I mean it!" He said.
"Got it. Now tell me."
"It's Patrick." He made sure to whisper extremely quietly so nobody else heard. I went into absolute shock. Patrick Hockstetter LIKES ME!? What the actual fuck was going on? Surely he had to be joking. Vic always jokes around, so maybe this was another one of his jokes. Right?
"You're kidding!" I whispered back.
"Nope."
Oh my gosh.I went into next period feeling all weirded out. Luckily, I bumped into Cas on the way.
"Gosh you look ill are you alright?" She asked.
"Mhm. Just peachy thanks." I spoke.
She ignored it and we walked to Art together. We both hated art because we weren't allowed to sit next to eachother. Apparently we're too "distracting." Bullshit. So instead I had to sit next to whoever else was willing to put up with me.
The lesson dragged on and on. It felt never ending.
"Miss Tozier, I would appreciate if you could get your head off of the table and pay attention to the lesson!" Mr Walter shouted.
I lifted my head off of the desk and gave him a sarcastic smile,
"I'd rather die."
"Any more of that and you're out, do you hear me?" He lectured.
"No I can't sir, I'm deaf!" I sneered, earning a few laughs from others across the classroom. Well that just pissed him off even more.
"Get out." He said pointing towards the door.
"With pleasure!" I smirked leaving the room. Now I definitely wasn't going to detention. Not with the fact that Patrick would probably be in there. I never go anyways, but the thought of Patrick being in there put me off of going even more. It would be so awkward! Instead, I roamed the halls and ended up in the toilets. I went into a stall and pulled out a cigarette and a lighter from my pocket, then lit it and took a long drag. I checked my watch to see the time and there was still an extra 15 minutes left until recess. I took another puff, and then I heard someone enter the stall next to me. Fuck let's hope it's not Greta. Or even worse, Sabrina. There was knocking on the wall and then the person spoke.
"Who's in there? Nat?" The voice sounded familiar and I instantly realised it was none other than Cassie.
"Cassie?"
"Yeah?"
"What are you doing in here I thought you were in class?"
"I got kicked out. He went crazy after you left! Started shouting at us and everything. I got fed up and told him to shut up and got told to go elsewhere so I did, I knew you'd be in here so here I am!" She laughed.
We spent them 15 minutes smoking and messing about, and then the bell for recess rung at last.
