Natalie's POV:
I woke up the following morning in Victor's bed. Memories of lastnight came flooding back to me and in an instant my eyes were building up with tears. I sniffled lightly, and wiped the tears away. Vic rolled over, his hazel eyes opened slightly.
"Natalie are you okay? You're not crying are you?" he said. His voice was croaky- mainly because he only just awoke but it was cute.
"I'm fine, honestly." I replied with a slight smile which was returned by Vic. He nudged over slightly and wrapped his arms around my waist, placing his head on my lap and pulling the duvet over him. Eventually falling back to sleep. I ran my fingers through his soft, silky hair. I couldn't help but admire how pretty he was while he slept. How pretty he was in general. But that constant thought of Patrick lingered in my mind. What if he was just drunk? Was i just being delusional? What if it meant nothing to him? These thoughts drained me. I chose to sleep it off and try and ignore everything, i deserve better anyways, right? Right."Nat, you awake?" Victor murmured. I grunted and nodded, hestiantly opening my eyes.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"10:00." He answered. I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck, groaning tiredly. He held my waist and chuckled under his breath,
"You're tired huh?"
"Tired's not the word Vic." He laughed again and got up from the bed.
"C'mon, i made you coffee. It's gonna go cold if you don't drink it." Victor spoke, handing me a warm mug. I looked up at him, smiling.
"Thank you."
There we both sat again, awkward silence loomed over us both. I was contantly questioning myself on what to say and Victor clearly was too.
He cleared his throat and spoke up,
"Lastnight..." he paused and his leg began to shake aggressively. I placed my hand on his thigh trying to calm him and it worked.
"I know. I'm gonna talk to him about it...i think." I replied.
"Okay. Good, that's good. Natalie whenever you've spoken to Patrick i really need to tell you something. Desperately."
"Well tell me now?"
"I can't, just talk to him alright?" He then left the room without telling me where he was going, or why. Did i do something wrong? What was it? Was it something i said?Thankfully, he had returned, however he had grabbed my hand quite forcefully and brought me into the hallway. Confused, I asked what was wrong. He walked over to the phone which was hung on the holder, picked it up and dialed a number.
"Victor?" I whispered. He put his finger to his lips and hushed me, i stood there quiet as a mouse and my heart was beating out of my chest. Suddenly, he turned to me and passed me the phone.
"Say something. Speak." he said.THE PHONE CALL
Natalie's POV
"Hello?" I mumbled.
"Natalie?" The voice groaned. It was Patrick, he sounded hungover.
"Patrick, I've been wanting to talk to you actually."
"So was I, where were you lastnight at the party?" I froze and found myself unable to speak. Victor widened his eyes, probably a signal for me to keep talking. I almost felt like i was being held captive by the way he was acting.
"And Victor. You were gone...together."
"You kissed-
"Where were you Natalie!?" he shouted.
"Let me explain Patrick oh my God!" i yelled back, "You kissed Missy lastnight! A full makeout session with MY BESTFRIEND! Why?"
Silence.
"I was wasted Natalie you know that. I didn't mean to." He spoke quietly, sounding almost defeated.
"I don't give two fucks Patrick you cheated on me and that's that."
"I didn't fucking mean to!"
"And i don't care! Why didn't you push her away or say no or walk off or just stay away from her!?" I freaked. I had well and truly lost more than my patience at this point.
Vic looked at me sympathetically while listening.
"I was drunk." he repeated. "Why were you with Victor anyways."
"He helped me, i was in hysterics when i saw you two in the garage. I could barely sleep 'cos of it. And it's all. your. fault."
"Fuck this i wanna talk to you about this face to face Nat. Come over when you're ready." he spoke hanging up the phone.
I placed the phone on the holder, walked back to Vic's room and grabbed my coat.
