I opened the door and was greeted by Richie, who was sat on the stairs waiting.
"Erm." I mumbled, staring.
"I saw." He spoke quietly with his head hung low, "How could you?"
My eyes widened at his words. Patrick. He saw Patrick. I simply hung up my jacket and walked away into the living room.

I was flicking through channels when I found that 21 Jumpstreet was on. However, no matter what I just couldn't help but feel guilty. The poor guy got bullied & beat by Patrick and I'm going on dates with him? What kind of a sister was I? As I was thinking of how to explain and apologise, Richie walked in.
"Richie-
"Shut up, I want an explanation." He said, eyes burning with anger.
"Well. He asked me if I-
I stopped and thought.
"Go on then. What did he ask you?"
"He... uh, asked me if I could help him with this thing, for school. He's slacking in his classes and needs to uh..catch up? It's exam season and that, so he kinda needs it." I spoke.
"Why would you help him though? Don't you hate him? And bowers? And the rest of 'em?" He replied.
I shook my head and sighed.
"There's no need to be such a bitch about it. I was just tryna be nice!"
"To a bully. Nice. To a bully. I'm sorry, am I hearing shit?" He said sarcastically looking around the room.
"Just leave it alright? I was helping him study and that was it. No need to go all mad at me for it!" I stormed out of the room, barging past Richie. Don't get me wrong, obviously I felt bad. Why wouldn't I? I just hated how all he did was ask me questions and interrogate me about every little thing I did.

Richie's POV
-the next day, at Bill's house
... "I told her that and she said I was bein' a bitch about it?! Like come ON!"
"Wait, wait. You're telling me that Natalie stuck up for THE Patrick Hockstetter?!" Eddie gasped.
I nodded my head and stood up,
"I say we all never talk to her again."
Beverly's head rapidly turned to face me.
"You guys can do what you want but I'm still talking to her!"
"What- everrrr..." I sung rolling my eyes.
"Personally I find this really stupid. Yeah, Hockstetter is a weirdo and that but it doesn't mean you can stop talking to your own sister over it." Bev tried explaining, but we were having none of it.
"No way you're defending what she's doing. She's literally dat- hanging about with him!" I raged.
"Yeah, R-Richie's right. She made us think she hated him and the other guys..." Bill shrugged his shoulders.
"And then she does this." Stanley continued, sulking.
