Cassie and I spent most of recess walking around the building. We both hated recess because it was so boring and for us, there wasn't really anything we could do. We used to go to the school library and play hide and seek with books, and if we found the other person we'd have to throw a book at them and the other person would throw a book back etc. However we were banned for "disruptive and violent behaviour." As if! Then I remembered about Bowers and what he did to my brother last night. Why wait for a confrontation when I could do it now? I had the time so why not.
"Hey Cas, I'm gonna go and find Bowers. You coming?"
"Bowers? What? Why?" She gasped.
"Chill! I need to talk to him about something, and it's not good either!" I laughed. Bet she thought we were friends or something.
"Um yeah okay. What's it about?"
"Something happened last night with my brother and I wanna have a little talk that's all."
"Are you sure? He might, uh. You know." She said while making a stabbing gesture.
"Yes I'm sure! Now come on you!" I pulled her along the corridors in search for the mullet wearing asshole. We eventually made it to the bleachers, I don't know how. It was out of bounds during Recess and lunch.
"You think he'll be here?" Cassie wondered.
"No idea, he could be." I answered.
We carried on walking until the familiar smell of smoke had hit. Cassie turned to me and nodded.
"He's here alright." She whispered.
Cassie and I found Henry, alongside Victor, Patrick and Belch underneath the bleachers. Patrick had a cigarette in one hand and a lit lighter in the other, playing with the flame. Belch was sat with Victor talking to Henry about something they were gonna do at the Junkyard later on.
"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I need to talk to you Bowers. Now." I said.
"What the fuck do you want huh?" Henry scoffed.
"What do I want?" I asked sarcastically, "What I want is to know what you said to my brother last night!"
Patrick put the lighter in his pocket and put out his cigarette and sat himself up listening to the conversation. Belch was just sat there watching, and Victor stood up and his eyes widened at me. Henry got up and began to move closer to me while Cassie moved behind me.
"What I said to your brother is none of your goddamn business."
"Yes it is! He's my brother. So tell me, what did you say to him." I spat.
"Listen here, I said nothing to the nerd. Carry on with that mouth of yours and I swear-
"You're not gonna do anything Henry." Cassie interrupted.
"What?" Henry fumed. "I'm gonna do what I fucking like!"
Patrick took a step forward and pulled Bowers to the side,
"Take it easy on her brother yeah? She's not asking for much."
I heard Cassie gasp from behind and even I was shocked at what he just said. Isn't he the one who normally bullies Richie though? I thought he relished in taking the piss out of him and the losers. Now I'm starting to believe what Victor said.
"You heard him Henry. Leave my brother the fuck alone. Got it?" I peered my eyes at the boy and snarled.
"I'll do what I want." He repeated, red and furious.
"No you won't, leave Rich alone or you'll have a lot worse to deal with next time." Cas spoke.
"Don't you fucking talk to me like that bitch!" He shouted. I moved closer and slapped the right side of his face. Cassie pulled my arm and started to walk away trying to stop the argument going any further. I heard a quiet snicker coming from Henry as I walked and knew he was gonna do something later on. Or try to Atleast.
"Why'd you do that Nat? You're gonna end up getting yourself killed..." Cassie whined.
"No I won't, I'm sure Hockstetter will be keeping an eye on him." I chuckled.
"I never expected him to stick up for you! It shocked me honestly." She admitted.
"Same though, it was odd, especially coming from Patrick Hockstetter!"

We found Richie and The Losers in the cafeteria so I decided to tell Richie about what just happened. Before I could even get my words out Bill and Stan spoke up.
"Oh hey Nat!"
"Hi N-Natalie, you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine thanks." I smiled at the two. Richie turned around to face me and smirked.
"Is it true someone likes you?" Eddie added.
"Yes. No- maybe. I dunno yet. Nobody's telling me anything so for the time being let's just say no." I lied. I couldn't have Richie bothering me about this.
"Oh alright!" He smiled. By now Richie had his back to me and his head on the table.
"Every time." He mumbled.
"What was that?" I tapped him on the shoulder.
"Nothing."
"Alright. Anyways, it's sorted." I whispered and put my thumb up. He smiled and nodded in return.
"K guys, I'm gonna head off now. See you." I said, and made my way elsewhere with Cassie by my side.
