14. 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐬. 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭

"I'm so tired..." Midoriya muttered, slumping as the two of you walked out the gate.

You looked down at him and hummed, patting his back comfortingly.

"You can sleep at home."

A firm hand was placed on your shoulders making, the both of you turn around to see Iida.

"Iida-kun!" Midoriya flinched.

"Is your finger healed?" He asked.

"Yeah, thanks to Recovery Girl." He replied.

"Recovery Girl." You smiled fondly at the mention.

"I was really taken in by Mr. Aizawa. I even thought, 'This is the best of the best' and such. I didn't think a teacher would encourage us with a lie..." Iida sighed.

You hummed and patted his shoulder.

"Sometimes it's okay to lie."

"Huh?! When?!"

"When it's necessary or when you want to."

"That's not a good reason!"

You cluelessly listened to his lecture, eyes following his chopping motion in even more confusion.

"Hey! You guys! Going to the station?! Wait for me!"

"Eh?"

You all turned around to see Uraraka rushing forward.

"You're the infinity girl." Iida nicknamed.

"Hi, Uraraka." You greeted.

"I'm Uraraka Ochaco!" She corrected. "Uhm... you're Iida Tenya, you're L/n Y/n, and you're Deku Midoriya, right?"

"Deku?!" Midoriya asked.

"No, his name is Midoriya Izuku." You corrected.

"Huh? But during the fitness test, the boy named Bakugou said, 'Deku, you bastard!' right?" She asked.

"Um.. my real name is Izuku, but D-Deku is what Kacchan calls me to make fun of me..."

"'Defenseless Izuku'..." You muttered under your breath with narrowed eyes.

"An insult?" Iida pondered.

"Oh, is that right?" Uraraka asked. "Sorry! But... 'Deku' sounds like the Japanese word for 'You can do it!' so I kinda like it."

"Eh? You think so?" Midoriya asked.

"Yep!"

"Well then... I don't mind if you call me Deku."

"Midoriya?! You're excepting it so easily! Wasn't that an insult?!" Iida asked.

"He's too naive, just let him be." You said.

"Y/n, I'm not naive..." Midoriya whined.

"Yes you are."

Before he could interrupt, you gasped and took his hands hurriedly.

"We need to talk."

"Eh? Can't it wait?"

"Then someone else will interrupt me again..." You muttered before resting your features and closing your eyes. "Izu--"

"Meow."

"!"

"C/n?!" Midoriya looked behind you who did so as well.

'How did he even get here..?'

Uraraka and Iida did the same to see an adorable kitten sitting there with a swaying tail.
