"'I am here...' but how..?"
"You know the sports festival system, right?" All Might asked while walking back over.
"Yes, of course!" Midoriya replied.
"I.. don't..." You muttered.
"The support, business, general studies, and hero courses come together and fight through preliminary games of different types by class year. The students who make it through face off in the finals. It a round-robin tournament divided by grade." Midoriya explained.
"That's right! In other words, you can sell yourselves with everything you've got!"
"All Might, that isn't appropriate." You said while shaking your head in shame.
"!"
All Might accidentally knocked the couch over, making you sweatdrop.
"But honestly, it's kind of hard to get completely into it right after what just happened... Besides, All Might is already teaching me and I've got Y/n helping, so I'm not as motivated to stand out at the sports festival... In the first place, I don't think I can stand out in my current state, and I did terribly in the fitness tests..."
"No one's better at spouting nonsense that you two!"
"Why me?" You asked in confusion, though it was completely ignored.
"Nonsense?" Midoriya asked.
"Those who are always aiming for the top, and those who aren't. That slight difference in attitudes will have a big impact once you go out into society." All Might said. You glanced at Midoriya and pat his shoulder. "I understand how you feel, and this is more for me than for you. I won't force you. However, I hope you won't forget how you felt back at the beach park."
---
You stared confused at the hallway full of students crowding the 1-A classroom.
(!!! Aoyama's staring at the VIEWER!!!!)
"W-What's going on?!" Uraraka exclaimed.
"What business do you have with Class A?" Iida asked.
"We can't get out!" Mineta exclaimed. "What did you come here for, anyway?!"
"Scouting out the enemy, small fry." Bakugou said. "We're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. They probably wanna check us out before the sports festival."
Mineta pointed a trembling finger at the blonde, causing Midoriya to chuckle nervously and explain.
"That's Kacchan in neutral."
"There's no point in doing stuff like that." He said. "Out of my way, extras!"
"Stop calling people 'extras' just because you don't know them!!" Iida shouted.
"No, no he's right. Move." You glared at them, taking Bakugou's hand once you reached the door.
"You've been hanging out with Kacchan too much..." Midoriya muttered.
"I came to see what the famous Class A was like," someone said from the crowd while shoving through to the front. "but you seem pretty arrogant."
"Arro-what?" You pondered cluelessly.
"Are all the students in the hero course like that?" Everyone else immediately began shaking their heads and you were just confused.
"What is aro-jant?"
"Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned." The purple haired guy said. "There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into the hero course. Did you know that?"
