31. 𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐅𝐀?

Present Mic announced the amount of time left as you ran through the halls towards Midoriya.

He was walking in the direction he was supposed to come out of.

"Izuku!" He turned around quickly and you embraced him in a hug. "Good luck! If the egg in microwave thing doesn't work, think of... protecting someone you care about! That's how I transform between animals so quickly. It may not work for you, but still! Try it out!" You then turned but paused, grabbing his hand with a racing heart.

You smiled at him and pat his head.

"I'll cheer for you!"

"Audience! The finals that you've all been waiting for are finally starting!"

Midoriya returned the smile, cheeks flushed a bright pink.

"I'll do my best."

"Match number one! He's done well so far, and seems confident! From the hero course, it's Izuku Midoriya!"

You huffed, shifting into a spider and crawling up to the stands.

"Versus..." He trailed off. "Sorry, he hasn't done anything to stand out yet! From general studies, it's Hitoshi Shinso!"

You returned back to your original form and jumped to sit next to Bakugou.

"Aren't you excited?"

"To see the nerd lose? Obviously." He said with a wide, malicious grin.

"The rules are simple. Force your opponent out of bounds, or immobilize them! You can also win by making your opponent sayz 'I give up!'" He explained. "Bring on the injuries! Because we've got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby! Put your morals and ethics aside for a moment! But of course z anything life threatening is crap! It's not allowed! Heroes should only use their fists to catch villains!"

"I'll stop things if they go too far." Cementoss said while sitting in a cement chair he made.

"'I give up,' huh?" You looked at Shinso confused. "This is a fight to test the strength of your spirit. If you know what you want for your future, then you can't worry about appearances." He said as Present Mic called out.

"Ready?"

"That monkey was going on about his pride..."

'Monkey?'

"Start!"

"but don't you think he was dumb for throwing away his chance?"

"!"
'No! Midoriya has too good of a heart..!'

"Hey, you know..." At first Midoriya was somehow able to conceal his anger. "The girl a part of your team? The one that got second place in the race? It was also an idiotic move to completely showcase her powers and weaknesses."

'Okay, that was pretty mean...'

"What did you say?!"

"Izuku!" You shot up, shoulders slumping once he stopped abruptly.

Ojiro got up too.
"I went through the trouble of warning him, too!!"

"Hey, hey, what's the matter? It's the important first match! Liven things up! Midoriya! The match just started... and he's completely frozen?!"

Kaminari and Bakugou pushed you back in your seat.

"If the nerd looses that easy, he deserves it!"

"Deku?"

"What in the world is going on?" Iida pondered.

"He's got a blank look on his face and isn't moving a muscle! Is this Shinso's quirk?!" Present Mic wondered. "He didn't stand out at all, but could he actually be someone amazing?"
