You woke up with a start, eyes avoiding Midoriya's as he nervously stepped into your room.
"Hi, Y/n..." He greeted quietly. "Are you okay?"
You shrugged, playing with your hands and watching his feet.
He walked over and sat next to you.
"I could have killed him."
Midoriya looked at you incredulously.
"Why would you--"
"Because it's true. I almost did it to my mom, I almost hurt her. I was playing around with my quirk and overdid it. I didn't think the drawback would be this bad." You ranted before sighing. "It's a drawback for villains.."
"No it's not." He replied sharply. "Besides, you can't help what happens when you overuse a quirk."
"That doesn't make it better." You glared. "What if I end up hurting you or Kacchan?" You asked quietly. "I know it's an overreaction but it's so scary not being able to control your body. It is, isn't it?"
He nodded.
"Especially when you have to hurt people when it happens... I'd prefer getting hurt as a drawback." You said honestly.
Midoriya sat up and huffed.
"You're a good person, Y/n." You looked at him confused on why he was suddenly smiling. "And I'm not gonna let you sit here all day and mope about. We're going to cheer you up, okay?"
"Well, the only way you'll get me out of here is if you're attacked by a villain." You grumbled while leaning towards the headboard.
"!""C'mon, Y/n." He strained, dragging you through the door with struggle.
You kept your entire body weight on the ground and shook your head.
"No."
"He's right, Y/n. You should go spend time with your friends." Your mom said while mixing her tea by the counter.
"Who's side are you on?" You asked with a deadpan.
"No one's. There's food on the counter." She replied.
"Thank you, Mrs. L/n!" Midoriya exclaimed, taking it and placing it on your stomach. "You'll hurt your back on the steps." He panted.
You shrugged, eating the food quickly before flopping back on the floor.
"Get your ass up and move!" Bakugou shouted, setting off an explosion dangerously close to your face.
"Kacchan?!"
"Don't be dramatic you damn fool! It was one mistake! Just work on it!" He shouted while yanking you onto your feet.
"I wanna go back to--"
"Nope." He replied while pulling you out under the storm clouds.
"I'm pretty sure it's gonna rain..." Midoriya muttered.
"I'm not the one who agreed to hand out with you, Deku! I won't get soaked for your sake!"
"But what about Y/n?!"
He paused for a moment then huffed.
"You've got it you damn nerd!"
The both of you watched him walk away.
Midoriya sighed and turned to you with a smile.
"Hey, there's an amusement park in town."
"There is, huh?"
"Yep! Do you want to go?" You shrugged and he began dragging you down the road. "We'll be able to eat cotton candy, and funnel cakes, and candy apples!"
