Chapter Seven: "Don't Worry Be Happy"

Marvin POV:

"You don't want to?" he asked me.

"I can't wait for you to rescue us," I told him.

While we were waiting for rescue, I suddenly thought of how silly it was that we were friends before we came to Iceland, we went to Amsterdam first.

We do stop to hold a team meeting over every little thing, from where to go to what snacks to buy.

"Shall we dunk our sabai sabai our tom yam?" we had a meeting and we looked ridiculous.

"No shoes, no shirt, no problems," Cooper told us.

"Is that a joke?" I asked Copper and he nodded.

We decided to drop by a clothing shop to pick up underwear and pajamas, and Copper seems most concerned with cost, deciding underwear is too expensive so he'll do without buying any.

"Copper underwear is important, you can buy a sportscar but you regret the underwear!" I said to Copper, I'll just borrow from you.

"I don't want to," I told Copper.

He has also bought underwear.

Meanwhile, Kim nervously makes the call to check their lodging reservations, and stammers through his questions, running into trouble when he's told our room only allows two guests.

"Bad news, the place is fully booked and we can't switch rooms," Kim told us.

We finally get on the bus to take us to our lodgings at least, our hoped-for lodgings, since we decided to go in person because the places require credit card pre-payment.

We arrive at the place we reserved at nine in the evening, and hold our breaths as we wait to hear if we can manage to stay in a room for three. And after all that build-up, the clerk just says he can give us the bigger room.

Our first night in Amsterdam went well.

The reminder of what happened to us was interrupted when someone tapped me.

"Did someone call you?" he asked me and I said that you are coming to rescue us.

Later we've been rescued, we sit in awkward silence in the backseat of the car. As they're driving, he keeps sneaking glances at me.

"Why do you want to tell me something?" I asked him and he avoided looking at me.

Later, his assistant spoke. She tells him that his parents are nearby and want to have dinner with him if he has the time.

"What are you saying parents are here?!" he asked in shock.

"It's their wedding anniversary so your brother thought of giving them a trip to Iceland," said his assistant.

He and his father called someone, we heard his complaint.

"Dad is there anything funny in what I said?!" he said in frustration.
