Chapter Sixteen: Happy Day

Shan POV:

I was drinking wine in my house when he received a text from Marvin asking where I am. I called him and asked him if he thinks I'm with someone else, and Marvin covers himself by asking me why he doesn't have sesame oil there. I laughed at what he said and then he covered his face. Marvin brings up that I went to Paris with Tina. When I tell him it was for a photo shoot with his staff, Marvin realizes his mistake and starts stammering, which amuses me to no end. I then ask him if he wants him to come back to the cafe and before Marvin can answer, he remembers he was warming up milk and goes to turn it off.

I'm surprised at his sudden exclamation and tries to call him back but there was no answer. I get worried about him now and decide to take a taxi to go check on Marvin.

I have arrived at his condo and the security officer knows me. You have already logged in before they let me in.

Good thing I already know his passcode so I opened it right away.

By the way, he had just taken a shower.

"I thought something bad happened to you," I immediately hugged him.

"Shan, you know that you can't just enter without the security officer knowing you," said Marvin.

"You know your stalker hasn't been caught yet," he gave me water.

"Sleep here," Marvin told me.

I tell him not to hang up on me like that so I don't run over like an idiot again. Marvin is touched by my concern and smiles at me.
He said he was just going to get dressed. Later Marvin's phone rang but it was an unregistered number so I just let it go.

I told him that someone called him but it was an unregistered number.

Later someone texted Marvin and I knew it was his stalker.

He threatened Marvin that he would throw acid on him if he didn't answer his call.

"Don't worry, I'll trace who owns this number," I said to Marvin.

The next day I am checking in at a hotel where I see Copper with his fiance. Tina seems to know Copper and greets him on her way in. Copper then sees me and they exchange looks, prompting Ice to ask if they know each other. I say yes and she says that he's the brother of one of her friends, and the second son of the Hargate Group which owns this particular hotel.

I knew how Copper looked at me and I told him that Ice was my friend.

"Does Marvin know you're here?" Copper whispered.

"Yes he knows," I said and he said goodbye to us.

It's a good thing Tina didn't become a brat or I would have been mad at Marvin.

I then turn to Tina and tell her not to cling to me anymore because I have someone.

"No!" we looked at each other.

I pretended not to know him and immediately entered the elevator.

I let Ice discipline him.

When I was in my room, I called Marvin and told him that I was in my hotel room and that I had a photoshoot tomorrow.

I also said that Ice and Tina were with me.

"Good luck with your photoshoot tomorrow," Marvin told me.

I said that I wanted to see him so he made a video call.

He's in the kitchen now and he's cooking while he's talking to me.

Later I heard his sister and younger brother ringing the doorbell.

"Hello Brother-in-law," said his younger brother.

Our question and answer have started.

The next day I woke up early for our photoshoot.

At the photo shoot, I'm not happy with the location saying that it has nothing to do with the theme. I do get the pictures needed but is short-tempered throughout the whole process. Tina tries to cheer me up in the car on the way back and, she stops and poses for me, saying that she looks so much better than Marvin I'm not looking at her at this point though, and spots a location I want for the photo shoot. I tell Punpun to stop in the middle of the freeway and they immediately start taking pictures. I'm in a much better mood this time around and compliment myself on my talent, making Punpun curl her fingers in surprised rage. After the shoot ends, Tina tries to get me to go somewhere with her, but I commandeered one of the cars and go off by myself.

When I get back to Marvin's restaurant, I see Marvin is busy working in the garden and sneaking up on him. Marvin is surprised to feel me leaning on his back, but allows me when I say he just wants to stay like this after his tiring day of work. Marvin smiles to himself as he closes his eyes and goes back to work. his staff sees us like this and laughs at us. I call Punpun and the stylist over and they're surprised to find out that Marvin is the man that I like.

After I rested a bit, he pulls a pretty nice necklace out of my pocket and gives it to Marvin, telling him it was a snow design. I remind him of our date. As I stand up to leave.

"Wait I forgot something," I kissed him on the lips.

It's our second official date and I'm going to take him to the bowling center because he says he likes bowling.

I already have a reservation at the bowling center because it's not like it used to be when you can go even without reservations due to the pandemic.

Later, my older brother called and asked me to go to our house with Marvin.

"Why?" they want to see their brother-in-law and it's also a celebration because I'm not a playboy anymore.

"We have a date," he said, "I have no excuse for my older brother. After our date, Marvin and I went home.
