O'Hara/ Reader
Reader POV:
When we pull up outside my building I thank O'Hara's driver, before getting out of the car, and making my way into the building, the elevator is out of order so I have to take the stairs, normally I don't mind taking the stairs however after being awake for over twenty-four hours, I don't have the energy though I somehow manage, as soon as I enter my flat I kick off my shoes and head straight for my bed, collapsing onto it without bothering to take off my clothes.
I wake up hours later to loud music from my next-door neighbours teenage playing his music, I've grown louder as I get out of bed, I know there isn't any point of knocking on the door, so I just go take a shower and wash my hair, I put on some night clothes since I don't plan on going out as I am still tired, so I think I will order food, I take my phone out of my bag to call the blue Dragon to order some Chinese, when I see that I have two new messages, one from my friend Lisa who I had worked alongside for many years at my last hospital, the other message is from an unknown number, I open up the unknown as soon as I open, I knew straight away who it is from, it's from O'Hara and I cannot help the smile that appears on my face.
"So, glad you got home safely, I just wanted to let you know that I have made us reservation for tomorrow at 20:30pm and since we both have the next day off we can have a late one if we feel like it, anyway get some rest and I will see you in the morning,"
my smile gets even bigger after reading her message, I save her number under O'Hara, before replying, I write out a message then delete it before writing another one, I then delete that one as well, why is this so difficult? I give up and read Lisa's message, Lisa tells me she has the day off and wanted to see if I also had the day off, to meet up for lunch, I messaged her back telling her I was at home and was just about to order some Chinese and that she was welcome to join me as I hadn't seen her since I had started working at All Saints Hospital and we have so much to catch up on, she replies telling me that was a great idea, she would be here in half an hour.
I messaged her back telling her I will wait to order food and for her to pick up some wine on her way, I tidy up a bit while I wait for her, I even managed to unpack a box, just before there was a knock on the door, "LISA!" I yell pulling her into a hug, "sorry about the noise," I tell her referring to the loud music coming from my neighbour.
"It's alright, did you forget I have a teenage son?" she asks me as I close the door, "love what you're done to the place, how long ago did you move in again?" Lisa asks me, I just roll my eyes at her.
"yes I know, I should be all unpacked by now, but you know me, busy, busy, "why don't you put on some music? why I pour us some wine," I tell her as I make my way into the kitchen to pour us some wine, when I come back into the living room, we sit on the sofa and go over the Chinese menu, once we ordered food, we just sit back and relax.
While we wait for our food Lisa fills me in with all the latest gossip from St Mark's Hospital, it doesn't sound like much as changed since I left, it does my heart good hearing that all my friends are doing well, as it had been a very hard decision for me to leave, I start to feel a little sad as a lot has changed for me lately, was moving out and into an new flat, a new job, mine and Olivia's relationship finally come to an end, plus everything that has happened with O'Hara, just thinking about O'Hara gives me butterflies in my stomach, I try to find a distraction that's when I notice our wine glasses are empty, so I take our glasses into my kitchen to pour us some more wine.
"So, how's Olivia?" Lisa asked me, I knew I had to tell her, there was no avoiding it, just then there was a knock-on my door.
"Saved by the bell," I tell her as I get up to answer it, it was our food, we head into the kitchen and started plating up, when we sit down at the table to eat, Lisa asks me again about Olivia, so I tell her everything that had happened, everything that Olivia had said to me.
