"Jack! Are you almost ready?" Brooklyn called up to the boy's staircase.

"Goodness gracious Brooklyn! Almost!" Jack said.

"It's our first day back and we're already going to be late for the welcoming dinner," Brooklyn sighed.

"Yeah, I know, I'm almost done," Jack yelled. He was all the way up on the third floor.

Two minutes later Jack came down.

"What took you so long?" Brooklyn asked.

"I forgot how to tie my tie but it's all good now," Jack smiled.

"What am I going to do with you?" Brooklyn asked, shaking her head.

"Let's go! We need to go!" Jack exclaimed.

The two children walked down to the dining hall. They took a seat at the OmbreLune table and waited for Madame Maxine to make an announcement.

"Welcome back students," Madame Maxine spoke in French. "This is an important announcement for first and second year students. First and second year students will be taking a three month long trip to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is for an extra learning opportunity. You leave first thing tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is January 10th, and you will be returning on April 10th."

"Jack, we get to go to Hogwarts!" Brooklyn said excitedly. "That means I get to spend my birthday with my brother!"

"That's awesome," Jack said. "By the way, we're staying in Gryffindor house."

"Really?"

"Yeah, first years are staying in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Second years are staying in Slytherin and Hufflepuff. Because of our last names, we get to stay in Gryffindor."

"Yay! I can't wait until tomorrow!"

Brooklyn struggled as she put her trunk in the carriage. She sat down on the left as Jack followed behind her. Jack got his trunk in and sat down across from Brooklyn. Nobody else joined them, so they had a carriage to themselves again.

"I can't wait to see James again." Brooklyn said.

"Didn't you just see him?" Jack asked.

"No, he left on the 1st. So I haven't seen him in nine days," Brooklyn answered.

"By the time we get to Hogwarts, it'll be their dinner time," Jack stated.

"We're taking a stop in London, right?"

"Yep. That's why it'll be dinner when we get there. Even though we'll be flying, it still takes a while. Especially since the horses don't go as fast as an airplane. Did you go out with Quinn over break?"
