"Happy birthday!" Lily, Nailea, Marlene, and Alice yelled, waking Brooklyn up.

Brooklyn groaned as she sat up in her bed. She grimaced as her eyes adjusted to the light.

"What time is it?"

"It's seven o'clock." Marlene answered. "Don't forget, we have lessons today."

"Oh yeah. God, why didn't you all wake me up earlier?" Brooklyn asked.

"You looked so peaceful." Lily answered. "Also, we have your outfit picked out. It's in the bathroom waiting for you."

Brooklyn stood up and walked to the bathroom. She smiled at the sight of the beautiful scarlet dress waiting for her in the bathroom. It looked like it was floor-length. It was simple but beautiful. The sleeves were long and flowy. Brooklyn couldn't wait to try it on.

The girls were waiting for Brooklyn as she came out of the bathroom in her dress.

"You look absolutely beautiful!" Nailea exclaimed.

"Thank you," Brooklyn beamed.

All Hogwarts and Beauxbaton students were allowed to be out of uniform the whole week. Nobody was sure what made the rules be lifted for the week, but they weren't complaining.

"James has a matching outfit as well!" Alice said. "You'll just have to see what he's wearing."

"Okay, well is everyone ready?" Brooklyn asked.

"Yeah, we can go down to breakfast now." Lily said.

As the girls walked out of their dorm, the boys were also coming out of their dorm across the way. Brooklyn waved to James and met him at the bottom of the stairs. Sirius couldn't stop staring at Brooklyn. She looked beautiful in her dress.

"James, you look amazing!" Brooklyn said, looking at her brother in his scarlet colored dress shirt and black jeans.

"You look stunning as well, Brooke!" James replied, smiling at his twin.

"Happy 12th birthday older bro."

"Happy 12th birthday little sis."

Sirius, Jack, Remus and Peter were smiling at their friend and his sister.

"Is there anything special this week?" Brooklyn asked, confused as to why they were allowed to be out of uniform.

"No, I don't think so." Remus answered. "At least there shouldn't be. As far as I know, it's a pretty normal week."

"Yeah it's pretty weird that we get to be out of uniform." James said.

"I'm not complaining." Sirius chimed in.

"Yeah me neither." Peter said.

"Open my present first!" Remus shouted to Brooklyn and James.

"Yes sir," James replied.

James opened up the present Remus handed to him and inside was a pranking kit from Zonko's. Brooklyn opened up her present and inside was a leatherbound copy of Pride and Prejudice.

"James, I forgot your present at the Owlery, so it should be here soon. But Brooklyn, here's my gift for you." Sirius passed a package over to Brooklyn.

Brooklyn grinned as she opened the present. The present was the Lord of the Rings book. All three books were stuffed into one big one.

"Oh my gosh, Sirius, thank you." Brooklyn beamed. She leapt up and gave him a hug, leaving behind a blushing Sirius.

Brooklyn sat back down to open up the letter from her parents. The letter contained good news inside that made Brooklyn smile from ear to ear. Only one person in the whole world got to know what was inside that letter. The rest of them would just have to find out.

"Hey, whatcha doing up?" Sirius said walking down the stairs to the common room. It was midnight.

"I couldn't fall asleep." Brooklyn answered. She closed the book she was reading, putting her attention on Sirius.

"Can I join you?" Sirius asked. Brooklyn nodded and Sirius took a seat on the opposite side of the couch.

"Thank you." Brooklyn muttered.

"For what?"

"The birthday present."

"Oh it was nothing," Sirius waved it off. He paused before speaking again, "You know, I'm glad you came to Hogwarts. I like having you here."

"You do?" Brooklyn asked, tilting her head.

"Of course I do," Sirius replied. "You make everyone around you happy, no matter what the situation is. You might not realize it, but you do. Your smile is infectious."

"You're funny." Brooklyn smiled.

"I know I am, princess." Sirius smirked.

The two sat in silence for a little while, just watching the flames dance in the fireplace. Sirius glanced at Brooklyn and admired her beauty. He might've only been twelve years old, but he could feel himself falling in love with his best friend's sister. She would be leaving Hogwarts soon and when she did, he would cry his heart out.

Brooklyn fell asleep soon, her head resting on Sirius's lap. He smiled down at her and slowly began to drift off to sleep.

"Shhh be quiet, we don't want to wake them up!"

Sirius's eyes fluttered open to see Remus, James, Peter, Nailea, Marlene, Alice, and Lily staring down at him. He wondered what they were all looking at before he looked down at his lap where Brooklyn's head was resting.

"You all need to be quieter than that!" Sirius mumbled. He stood up, placing a pillow underneath Brooklyn's head.

"Why did you two fall asleep down here, huh?" James asked in his protective brother stance.

"We were just talking and then she fell asleep." Sirius answered. "I swear nothing happened."

"But her head was on your lap!" James exclaimed.

"So?" Sirius replied. "That doesn't mean anything. She fell asleep like that. We're twelve for crying out loud!"

"Okay, I guess I trust you." James said.

"Thank you. Now help me get breakfast for her."
