Ambrose pov

" it's been a week Ambrose and we still have them alive, they know about us now, it's that fucking cult. It's the girl that fucking Ella she knows something. I'm telling you" Giuseppe shouted marching up and down my office like some Loon.

I hit my hand on my desk " Enough Giuseppe, Don't be so ridiculous. Ella doesn't even know what we are. Sit the fuck down, don't think Iv forgetting about last week the way you spoken about her, I don't give a shit if you don't like her. Just tolerate her" I demanded, he was beginning to get on my nerves speaking about her like she was just some worthless piece of shit human, I liked her however her father was just that, a worthless piece of shit Human, I hadn't heard off him since I had taken Ella, rumours have said he's upped and left leaving the cafe manager to run things, I couldn't be arsed checking if these rumours were true, not yet anyway.

" don't be in denial Ambrose. The Bruce family were part of that council. They were founding families. She's here to spy I tell you she will have us all killed"
Giuseppe got in my face " Let me kill her!"

I grabbed him by the throat and ran him into the wall causing the wall to crack and plaster fall onto his head " do not challenge me. Ella is not part of that council maybe her legacy is but she isn't. Nobody will he killing her. Do.you.understand.me Giuseppe?" I said threw clenched teeth before letting him go.

He looked at me ran to my open window and flew off, he was starting to annoy me, just because the Bruce family was part of the council to take down vampires doesn't mean Ella is, she has no idea about us.

The council started around 500 years ago when my species were first discovered, The Bruce family were part of the council, Ella and her father are not part of the lineage I have done my research, I know every family member the one them men in my warehouse are from are the Saxons, it won't be long until an attack to try get them back, only a small fraction of the council Truly know about vampires. My father hates humans because of that very council killing his first love before my mother.

I can't think straight now Giuseppe has wound me up, I decide to head to Ellas room I don't know why but I want to talk to her, see how she is.

I gently knock on her door and for her to answer, she slowly sticks her head out the door and looks me up and down, " come please Ella" I tell her, she slowly opens the door and follows me out " where are we going?" She asks me trying to keep up with my fast walking, I adjust my pace to mirror her tiny walk " I want to show you something" I say back leading her outside into the warm night air.

As I approach my horses stables I hear her gasp " they are beautiful. I love horses" she whispers. I grin to myself I knew that, Rosie had informed me of the things she likes most, taking care of things humans animals anything, especially horses. I was also saddened to hear her dreams of becoming a children's nurse were shattered when her selfish father gambled all their money away.

Ella stood In front of the white horse, she was taken back by her beauty I can tell, she's white well groomed with glowing blue eyes . I stand behind her " she's called diamond her hair glistens in the moonlight, she was my mothers horse she likes you. Watch as she put her head down" I say and watch as diamond put her head down and Ella stroked, " what happened to your mother, Ambrose?" Ella suddenly asked.

Her question caught me off guard, my mother isn't really dead or alive how do tell her a witch put her in a sleeping spell, how do I explain this to a human, a vengeful jealous witch named Angelica cast a sleeping spell on my vampire mother, the witch hated her because my father loved my mother and not her,jealousy did this to her and Agnes and Rosie had tried everything to undo her nasty work, it's been 5 years and still she remains asleep in the family crypt at my fathers estate. I clear my throat " she left us. We don't know where she is. Her name was Alice." I lied I could say she's died but there's always what if she wakes up, not in Ellas life time, not for a long time I don't think.

" I'm so sorry Ambrose. Can I brush her? Diamond" Ella says picking up the brush. I nod " she's yours now. You may take care of her. Tomorrow we can go riding. This big brown horse is Toby he's mine" I lead her over to the end stable " wow he's huge" she says looking him up and down in awe " I'd love that" she smiles up at me which Quickly falls, " what's wrong Ella?"

She looks to the floor and shrugs " nothing. Please can I sleep now?" Her voice a little sadder now, maybe it's because she remembers why she is here, she can't leave it's as simple as that, nonetheless i agree and take her back up to her room " I'll see you tomorrow after breakfast we will go riding. Goodnight Ella" i shut her door behind and lock it, I'm not ready to keep it completely unlocked just yet.
