Ella

I froze as I made my way downstairs, stood there drinking from a humans neck was Ambrose, I knew he was being let out the cell from the basement today but I didn't think he'd go straight for a human, I looked closer and it was Karen the Step in cook for Agnes, herself and Rosie were attending a witches funeral. I looked around where was everyone else? Why are they allowing this?

I knocked something on the stairs, Ambrose dropped the human wiping his mouth, he looked at me and grinned " Ella how is my unborn child? Do they want some action? After all this is what they desire human blood like his father " he ran to me and grabbed me by the hair, I struggled against his grip but he was stronger than me somehow, he picked Karen up off the floor and pushed her bloody neck into my face he grabbed my head and moved it around trying to make me drink her blood " come on Ella. It's what my child wants"

I screamed for him to get off me but he wouldn't listen, Alice must of heard she threw him off me, I looked at myself in the mirror my face was covered in Karen's blood, I couldn't help the tears he scared me acting like this, Ambrose looked between me and his mother and I swear I hint of some humanity shown but he used his vamp speed and ran out the house, Alice ran to my side and helped me up "'are you ok Ella?" I shook my head I couldn't even answer her I was too shocked and upset and what he did to me.

Alice washed my face for me in silence wiping the blood away luckily Alice healed Karen and compelled her to forget the attack.

"Where is Lucien?" I managed to ask, Alice looked at me and sighed " Lucien and Phoenix are finding willing Humans for blood" Alice managed to say although I feel like she's hiding something, Lucien is not all perfect he doesn't always get blood from willing humans and I know he compels them.

" Ella. Why did you not use your full power to get Ambrose off you? You have so many different strengths you could of easily escaped" Alice asked me throwing me off guard.

" for many reasons really. The baby, I don't fully know all my powers yet and didn't want to hurt Ambrose, the fire could of killed him alone. I don't want to use the fire from my hands Incase I do kill a vampire. It's all new to me right now" and that's the truth really, I'm scared of my own powers I have no idea how to use them just yet, I know I can be stronger than a vampire.

Alice has gone to find a wiling human, leaving me alone, I hope Rosie is back soon.

I guess sometimes vampires need blood from the vein and not just blood bags, I'm not sure if it taste better straight from the vein well I suppose it would be warmer.

I sit down on the arm chair and stroke my stomach, not long now baby boy, I smile to myself until I jump from banging outside, everyone is out apart from Jones the human who works closely with Ambrose, he's on watch outside, I decide I best check on him as I slowly pop my head outside I see a tall dark haired woman holding Jones up by his throat, demanding where Ambrose is.

I rush out to his side and tell her to put him down, he fangs are on show and Her eyes have turned red, she's a vampire, she dropped him and turned to me " yes your the little human who's knocked up to my husband" her words echoed around in my mind, husband?

I frown " I'm sorry what? Your Lilly? He told me you died"

She laughed " yes he was suppose to think that. I only called here to tell some little Phoenix girl she's in danger. She's after the child and the mother. Oh wait. Are you a Phoenix? I can't sense it" she looks me up and down.

" I'm the pregnant Phoenix yes, why am I in danger? Why would you come out of hiding from Ambrose to tell me?" I was confused as to why she would even show up.

She smiled and shook her head " never mind that. You do realise a Phoenix blood is special especially to a vampire. Your blood is required to break a spell Ella I presume?. All I can tell you is you and your child are in danger. I owed one of you ancestors a favour and well I guess this is it finding you and telling you to keep safe. Not that I care anyway"

I was confused I had no idea what was going on, Ambrose had told me about Lilly that she died. Ambrose came running past and had Lilly up against the wall, I watched as she grinned at him and went to kill him but he Quickly snapped her neck " Jones get her to the cells"

" I'm in danger" I shouted to ambrose, who turned around " so? What do you want me to do Ella?"

That hurt, I know his humanity is off but it still hurts to know any ounce of feelings he had for me are trapped away " does the name Julien mean anything to you? He's coming for me and your son"

I seen something in his face, maybe a glimmer of hope he was changing but it quickly faded " son?" He shook his head and turned to face me face so cold " let him come for you and that thing why would I care?" And with that he walked away back into the house.

I felt like my heart had been ripped to shreds, not for the way he treated me but for the disregard he had for our son.
