As we approach the wooded area of the secret address, Phoenix shape shifts into a wolf to blend in, we can feel this place is surrounded by werewolves which arnt always too kind to vampires, they can easily rip us apart limb from limb, but never do usually only if threatened wolves tend to be peaceful creatures although rarely have any business with vampires.

Phoenix heads into the woods and we slowly follow behind, if there's many wolves we will be outnumbered, Jase read my mind cause his cocky ass spoke up " oh please brother. I could snap each neck of these muts with one finger. Just use your speed to the cabin", always the cocky one, at that moment I hear a wolf growl And several surround us, I mentally call Phoenix which i instantly hear a howl and they all back off, " they know who we are now . Let's go" I say before using my vamp speed until I see a cabin in the distance.

Phoenix remains in his wolf shape shift form so he can communicate for us if needed. As we approach the cabin an older woman appears at the door " Vampires, oh and your not fooling us with your shape shifter wolf. You have no business here so why are you here?"

It went quiet as Phoenix approached the woman, everything went silent for a moment before phonix Turned back shifting back to his original form. " The
Arrogant vampire can stay here" the woman said pointing to Jase, " fuck off old woman I'll be coming inside" Jase barks back, as quickly as possible I snap jase neck, I don't need that prick now his smart mouth isn't helping, I smile and nod " sorted" I pull his body to the side of the cabin and follow the woman inside.

A little girl is sleeping on the sofa who i guess is Lucien's daughter, Kate is asleep next to her who stirs as we enter, she opens one eye and jumps up " what? Omg what are you doing here? Lucien phonix Ambrose?" Kate breathless whispers trying not to wake the girl up.

I decide it's best I do the talking " we captured some people working for the council. Who informed us of a Vampire wolf child. Our witch tracked you and well she discovered the girl was well.. Lucien's daughter. So we came right away.. to help"

Kate rubbed her hand down her face turning to lucien " I'm so sorry I never told you Lucien.. I didn't think she was yours it's not usually possible for us to have children together. but she died.. she was run over and killed so that triggered her vampire side. It was a shock she came back from the dead as I lay hugging her. now her hunger for blood is something of a disaster" Kate said with tears in her eyes.

" sorry Kate. I have to ask. Are you sure she wasn't given vampire blood before she died?" Phoenix asked, that was my next question I'm glad he asked.

Kate shook her head " no she has the vampire mate mark. As you know only true born vampires have that. Also my witch friend checked for me. She was born vampire it just lay dormant until triggered because she's wolf also which was the dominant trait" Kate explained to lucien who looked confused but his eyes was a look Iv never seen before as he looked At the girl, it was a look of love for his daughter.

Lucien sat down next to the girl, he moved the hair off of her eyes, she was pale like him with jet black hair like Kate. " what's her name?" Lucien finally asked.

Kate smiled and sat down next to Lucien " her name is Emily. She is nearly 5. But I guess she'll stay forever this age now"

I shook my head " no she will grow until a fully aged adult around aged 20/21. Only humans who are turned by another vampire stop ageing if under the full adult age. Because she was born a vampire although triggered she will continue to grow until then. A witch friend explained it all to me." I don't know if this brought her comfort but she cried, turning her body and hugging Lucien, I think hearing the truth that she's immortal hurt more since she'll grow old and die but Emily will be around forever.

Lucien comforts Kate, while Emily starts to stir and wakes up her eyes won't open " mummy I need it now please it hurts" Emily shouts, she needs contacts her eyes are red she looks like a little creepy with her fathers complexion, vampires are not naturally pale Lucien is just abnormally pale and she's definitely taken his skin tone.

" has she always been that pale? Definitely Lucien's skin tone" I chuckle

Kate nods " she was born very pale with my black hair, everyone nicknamed her Snow White.. I don't know how to handle her she's always asking for blood. Can you all help?" Kate near enough begs us for help " she's attacked people. That's why we have caught the councils attention. Please I can't let them hurt my daughter" Kate ours her chest into Lucien's again and cries while lucien rubs her back.

Emily looks round at us all confused and scared. " you will come stay with us. Emily can get to know Lucien and we will help her control the hunger"
