Lan QiRen was sitting in the GusuLan Hall across from Lan XiChen as they both sipped their tea, their kettle releasing puffs of smoke as it sat on the low table between them.

"Uncle how is the tea?" Lan XiChen tried to start the conversation knowing exactly what his uncle called him here for.

"It good XiChen" Lan QiRen answered

Lan XiChen nodded and braced himself to move on to the next question which was about Wei WuXian.

"XiChen" Lan QiRen called to him. "Wei WuXian is becoming unrestrained here  he is the opposite of everything the Sect stands for and he is slowly leading the Lan disciples astray" his voice serious his lips pulled into a frown

"Uncle we have always known that since Wei WuXian was young he has always been care free that had always been his life style so it no suprise to see him acting this way" Lan XiChen replied looking at his uncle's frown get even more deeper his eyebrows scrunching down

"I am not talking about his untamed character XiChen am talking about the fact that his corrupting GusuLan sect soon the rules wont be respected anymore, the young people will think it okay to practice demonic cultivation and Wangji isn't behaving like a proper Lan thanks to Wei WuXian's influence"
He paused to pick up his cup and then continued "isn't that a cause for alarm"

"But uncle"

"Do you think Wangji is the one that Weakened our barriers and allowed the culprit enter here and do their evil deeds who else knew the arrays that surrounded Gusu apart from us and Wei WuXian"

Lan XiChen truly had nothing to say in defence

"Or do you think it Was Wangji that betrayed us" Lan QiRen asked

"No it could never be him" a pang of worry danced uncontrollably in his heart.

"I would investigate and get back to you uncle" he finally decided he couldn't defend him anymore

"We have to find a way to get rid of him before he completely corrupts Wangji Cloud reccess isn't save as long he is practicing demonic cultivation" he slammed his cup on the table furiously "and leading the young ones to his side Gusu stands for righteous and he is the complete opposite for that"

"But Wei WuXian isn't evil at heart his noble and kind his ways are wrong but it dosent mean he isn't good." XiChen spoke knowing Wei Wuxian since he was young.

"Yes XiChen i understand those are one of the reasons that I let Wangji marry him but he isn't the same as before the is something different about him and it due to that demonic cultivation of his and either ways I don't trust him as of now"

It was hard to admit but his uncle was right Wei WuXian had indeed been acting different and from what Lan Fen had told him he had seen similarities with what his uncle said so he resolved in his heart to investigate for himself and maybe talk to Wangji he knew him best if the was an answer to the problem he was trying to solve it was his brother.

"Yes uncle I understand I would meet with Wangji" and he could see his face lighten at that his muscles relaxing

"Good" Lan QiRen answered and went on drinking his tea

Lan XiChen stood up and bowed to his uncle and when he was about to leave the hall he heard his uncle voice

"We have to Come up with a plan the culprit is still out the and none of our minds are safe from him especially when we don't even know who to trust"

"I understand uncle" and then he bowed again and left the hall leaving Lan QiRen to his thoughts

Wei Ying was in the hanshi teasing Lan Zhan while they waited on ZeWu-Jun to come back from his meeting with the old man.
