Connor had just input himself into an argument. Everyone was surprised that he actually spoke up and took a side instead of being quiet in the back or making a rude comment.
Brooklynn looked at him, confused and curious as to why he was on her side, "Connor, do you know something?"
Sammy kept nervously looking at Connor as her heart picked up with a quick pace. Even she was confused. She didn't remember him being the one to have suspicion over her.
Connor looked away from Brooklynn and over at Sammy who looked terrified. "She didn't lie just once, but multiple times." He looked back at Brooklynn and Yasmina. "Sammy has the phone-"
"Wow." Yasmina raised her voice with an irritated voice. She ignored his presence and kept her focus on Brooklynn. "So, now you want to team up against her!"
The first time this argument started, Violet had taken Yasminas's side because she agreed that Brooklynn shouldn't be going through other people's baggage. Though now, she was having second thoughts about Sammy being innocent. Why would Brooklynn lie about those things? The accusations against Sammy were serious and part of her believed in Brooklynn but for some reason, the other part of her doesn't want to disappoint Yasmina. Then there was Connor. They may have disagreements and arguments here and there but she had to listen to him.
Violet Myers was able to come to a conclusion without being blinded by friendship. If she were leaning towards believing Connor then something was definitely wrong. Violet took the side of the one who she had argued with. Plus, Brooklynn made a weird but believable point. Not believing to most but Violet believed her.
Everyone had already started to argue with each other. Yasmina and Brooklynn, even Kenji and Ben.
Ben was trying to get them to lower their voices, "There's a big-"
"A big, scary dinosaur? Of course, there's a big scary dinosaur!" Kenji raised his arms up at Ben, yelling at him.
Connor put his palm on Kenji's chest to push him back, "You're one of the older ones. You act all superior about that status but here you are scaring Ben! Who already gets scared twenty-four seven." Ben and Connor were both fourteen while Kenji was fifteen. Kenji, Yasmina, and Violet were all fifteen but Violet was older than them, nearly sixteen.
Ben pointed at Kenji, annoyed with him, "It's because he's a big-mouthed jerk!"
"At least I don't play with crayons!"
Connor stared at Kenji with his brows furrowed. "What?" He sighed and looked forward past them two to see Violet who also stood there in agony, watching the kids pointless arguing. "I'm so done with this." He shook his head while turning away from the two boys.
