After following the adults, the two stayed on Haps' tail, and now they found themselves beside each other, staring at Kenji, Brooklynn, and Connor. The three were staring at Violet and Ben like they had seen a ghost. They were speechless, not moving at all as they stayed frozen, not blinking their eyes.

Ben had previously whacked Hap unconscious. He threw the stick aside and then awkwardly smiled at them. "Uh...hey."

Violet had a heartfelt smile at the two then kept her eyes on Kenji, "My shoe. I really need it back-"

Kenji hurried to run forward, pulling them both in a hug. "How?" He pulled away from the hug with tears in his eyes. "How?"

Brooklynn and Connor also ran to hug them both. The two, Violet and Ben, easily melted in the hugs from the others. They were relieved and happy to see their friends again.

The hugs were interrupted by hearing the adult on the ground groaning but still knocked out.

"Oh, right." Ben had a hand on his hip, looking at them all. "We should probably deal with that."

Violet was about to help Ben with the vines but she saw that Connor was already beside Ben, helping the kid tie up Hap.

So, instead, she and Ben took their turns sharing their experiences on how they were alive.

"Fell off the monorail, got savaged by pteranodons, found Bumpy, survived in the jungle, defeated Toro, Bumpy took a long walk and found Violet, and then we overheard that fancy couple conspiring with this guy, Hap." Ben continued talking, explaining.

Violet smiled at them, seeing their speechless faces. She gave them a nod, "I had the same reaction when I heard that too."

"I can't believe that out of Ben and Violet-" Connor looked between the two. "Ben was the one who took Toro down."

Violet looked at him, offended, "Yeah, Ben could take you down too-" She faked a cough, "QB down."

Connor snapped his head solely on Violet. He pointed at her, "Don't ever say that. That is not true."

"Oh, your shoe and-" Kenji looked at Ben. "Your dork pouch." He looked down to his waist, pointing at it but the pouch was no longer there. "What?" He looked down confused.

"Oh, yeah." Ben opened the pouch that was attached to his own waist. "I snatched it off of you earlier. But thanks for keeping it safe." He took the hand sanitizer out and put some on his hands.

Connor watched him, seeing how different he was yet the same. "I can't believe that even after all this time you still use hand sanitizer."

"I will always use this." Ben looked up from his hands and to Connor while holding up the small bottle of hand sanitizer.

"And the sunglasses for Violet-"

Ben took the sunglasses out of the pouch and handed them to Violet who eagerly put them on. "I could have used these ages ago." She went to look up at the sky. Pulling the sunglasses up, she let them hang on her head, turning to Kenji. "My shoe?"

Kenji quickly nodded. "Right." He took the backpack off his back and handed it to her. "Connor found this bag because he didn't like the idea of me walking around with a boot in my hand."

Violet stifled a chuckle. "That sounds hilarious." She opened the backpack and took the boot out. Violet held the boot in front of her, "We've been reunited." She quickly kicked her replacement shoes off and hurried to put her boot on. A relaxing sigh came out of her mouth as she put the backpack on her back, walking around to test the boots.

"Focus, guys." Brooklynn looked between the two. Violet, who was super happy to have her boot back, and Ben, who was twirling the zap stick around. "The couple, what exactly did they say?" Brooklynn asked them.

"Not much," Violet told them.

Ben added, "But they're definitely up to something."

Violet quickly spoke, "How's everyone else though?" She looked at the two, really wanting to know how everyone was. However, she mainly wanted to know how Yasmina was with her ankle injury.

"Probably doing better than us." Brooklynn felt indifferent to how the others didn't listen to her when she found the adults suspicious. "But honestly..." She looked up at Violet. "Things have been a bit weird especially since you were the only girl who actually talked to me. Now, Connor and I are like bros. Yaz is more quiet than usual and Sammy-well everyone's gotten over the whole phone thing."

Violet didn't think that Brooklynn would feel left out. The thought never even crossed her mind because Brooklynn was just so popular on the internet so she thought that the girl wouldn't have trouble.

Violet gave her a friendly smile. "I'm back now and I'm sure Yaz will come out of her shell."

"How did you do it?" Brooklynn questioned her on how she was able to make friends with them so fast. "You became friends with Yasmina even before Sammy."

Violet slightly smiled to herself. "Uh...well, it was a rocky start because she kept pushing me away."

"Why is this so hard?" Brooklynn lightly groaned.

Violet patted her back as they walked towards Hap. "Don't worry, she hated me."

Brooklynn sighed just thinking about the awkwardness between her and the other girls.

"Those other adults are definitely up to something. Especially him," Ben told them all as he pointed down at Hap. "I say we feed him to the Mosasaurus or the T. rex."

Violet immediately nodded in agreement with Ben. "Sounds like a plan. We should go with the sea monster. I'll get his hands. You grab his legs."

Kenji and Brooklynn were looking at the two like they were crazy.

Ben nodded in affirmation as he turned around-

"Or you could listen to me." The previously knocked-out adult, Hap, woke up, standing up from the ground but still tied up.

Originally I had didn't have Connor there with them and I had realized how dumb that was, so a tweak I made was adding Connor last second to be there with Kenji and Brooklynn
