The previously knocked-out adult had just spoken.
Violet along with the others jumped from the sudden deep voice. Seeing that the adult was awake, she glanced at Ben, wondering if he was still on board with their previous decision. "I'm still down to throw him to the sea monster."
"I'm not against it," Connor admitted.
Brooklynn was the one to stop the wild kids from their dangerous plan.
Hap started walking closer to them but Ben pointed the taser baton at him.
"Put that down, boy, before you get yourself hurt." Hap took a step closer to Ben.
Violet quickly lifted her spear at him, pointing the pointy part right under Hap's chin, forcing him to move his chin up as he felt a slight pressure. "I dare you to take another step."
Hap looked down with a light gulp, feeling the pressure be pushed a bit more. He looked down at her, into her eyes as she didn't break the eye contact either. It was like they were on a standoff.
Ben took another step closer to the adult. "Someone's getting hurt, old man, but it ain't me."
Connor stood near them with a smile barely formed on his face, "It's payback time, for all three of you." He told the adult as he had mentioned the three adults.
"Everybody, chill!" Brooklynn ran in the middle of them with Hap behind her as Ben and Violet were in front of her. The pink-haired girl was trying to get them to stop arguing. Which resulted in Violet lowering her spear.
Ben lowered the shock baton while giving Hap the stink eye. "You're protecting this guy? Whose side are you on, Brooklynn?"
Connor motioned his hand at Hap, "We can at least rough him up a little."
Violet walked towards Brooklynn, standing beside her but she looked forward to Hap. "I say that we should put him on a hook and hover him over the sea monster."
"No." Brooklynn pointed one hand at Violet and then the other at Ben. "And no. We are not torturing a human being." She then pointed a look at Connor too.
"I can't believe I'm the one who's not acting wild right now." Kenji put a hand over his chest, joining the others.
"We don't have time for this!" Hap shouted at them. "You kids have to trust me."
Violet chuckled at him, "Trust you? A random adult who looks really sketchy by the way, wants us to trust him. I've only known you for like five seconds dude-"
