The group of kids had just made the herd of dinosaurs finally go the opposite way but then they turned back towards the kids, retreating, running towards them, past them. Behind that herd of dinos was a large T.Rex who was the cause of the herd to retreat.
Seeing that it was the T.Rex to cause all the dinosaurs to flee, Kenji was the first to turn his dirtbike around, driving away. Connor, being on Bumpy with Ben, had lifted a hand out to Sammy, helping to lift her onto Bumpy while Ben took control in the front.
Violet hurried to turn her ATV quad around with her hands on the handlebar but from her peripheral vision, she realized that the truck was still there, not moving.
"Yaz." Sammy worriedly shouted out from hearing the truck's engine trying to turn on but it kept quitting.
"Go!" Violet glanced at Ben who had slowed down. She hurried to drive the quad beside the truck. The door immediately opened as Violet had her hand held out for Yasmina to grab. "Take my hand. I got you."
Without hesitation, Yasmina jumped out of the driver's seat, accepting the hand. Violet held onto Yasmina's hand, helping her onto the back of the quad. Now that Violet had Yasmina, safe out of the truck, she hurried to drive the quad further away from the T.Rex. Everyone else was already far gone, knowing that Violet had the situation under control.
Violet glanced right behind her, seeing the T.rex gaining on her. She did a quick turn and continued that into a donut, going around the other dinosaurs which forced Yasmina to hold onto Violet's waist tighter. Once she saw that the T.rex now had its attention on the other dinosaurs, Violet hurried to drive off the side and towards the trees.
It had been about ten minutes of Violet just driving the quad straight with the additional small turns because of the trees.
Violet's heart was still raised from the whole, driving away from the dinosaurs. "Did it follow us? Is it gone?"
Yasmina had her arms wrapped around Violet's waist with the side of her face resting on Violet's back. "I'm pretty sure they've been gone for a while. Like...since we turned this way."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Violet raised her voice in a loud whisper. "Do you know how long I've been steadying my breathing?" She now freely breathed out.
Yasmina rolled her eyes, "You didn't hear how there weren't any dinosaurs roaring behind us?"
"I was too busy listening to my own heart beating out of my chest." Violet was still speaking in a loud whispered tone. "It was quiet and bad things always happen when it's quiet."
