While the Pteranodons were freely roaming the sky the kids had to get to safety and find cover.
"The Kayak River." Kenji gasped with a smile as he leaned beside Brooklynn. He was looking at the tablet that she had in her hands, pointing at the location. "The entrance is near here. It goes underground, beneath the ridge. If we follow it, it'll take us right to the main park."
Violet put both of her hands on his other shoulders, "Kenji, you're a sweet genius and you don't get enough credit."
Kenji raised a brow at her with a surprised smile that quickly turned genuine from being proud of himself and receiving the compliment. "I know."
Everyone ran for the Kayak River but the Pteranodons were gaining on them. Connor and Darius helped Ben with Bumpy while Yasmina took the lead in the front, being the quickest out of them all. They all entered the River Adventures tunnel, away from the Pteranodons. Once everyone passed through the metal doors, Violet and Yasmina both closed the doors.
Now that they were finally away from danger they were able to catch their breaths.
"Jurassic World River Adventures." An automated voice was heard in the tunnels when they entered. "Prepare yourselves for the wonder of the underground river. Two adventurers per kayak. Life vests must be worn at all times."
Violet slowly looked ahead. She fumbled around with her fingers while taking a few steps forward, towards the front of the boardwalk. Standing at the edge of the wooden planks, she looked down at the dark blue water with a gulp. Then she lightly chuckled while making her way onto a kayak by herself.
Kenji and Brooklynn had paired up while Ben was going on a kayak with Bumpy.
Yasmina walked towards Violet's kayak, throwing a life vest at her which hit her face. "I may have taken diving lessons but I'm not trying to save you from drowning."
Violet stared at her with a smile then stopped. "Oh. You're serious. You really think I would drown? I bet this water here is only like three feet deep." She put the life vest on herself while Yasmina took her spot in the kayak with Violet.
Connor walked past her with a chuckle, "Knowing you, you'd still find a way to drown."
Violet snapped her head up at the joke. "Connor, shut up-" She motioned her hand at the boy with the baby dinosaur. "You're riding with Ben."
Ben looked up after having put his life vest on, "Bumpy's riding with us." He didn't question or object to Connor having to ride the kayak with him.
Connor stood there in front of the kayak, seeing Ben and Bumpy in a kayak together. "I never agreed to go with the nerd and the dinosaur."
