The doors to the observation tower were locked and on the top of the gated fence was barbed wire.
Kenji, Yasmina, and Connor were the ones who were trying to get the doors open, using brute force. Violet stood there not seeing any reason to lift a finger because-well, it's metal, and there were already three people trying to open it. You can't just knock it down like a wooden door which is still not as easy as it sounds.
Ben slowly walked over to Kenji who was still trying to open the door. "Oh, wow. Guess we can't get in. We should all go back before someone comes along and we get in trouble." He spoke out, acting like he wasn't happy the doors were locked.
Violet walked up to the gate, leaning on it while standing in front of Yasmina who rested her arm on it. The taller girl looked forward to the tracksuit one. She then glanced up at the fence, "We could try to climb it?"
Yasmina looked up at the top of the fence. She was slightly thinking about climbing it.
"Are you sure that's safe?" Ben widened his eyes at her as he went to look up at the gate.
Violet turned her body with her back now resting on the gate. "Probably not."
Kenji furrowed a brow as he turned around to examine the area and surroundings. "Wait, where is everybody? Uh, there's usually someone around."
"Maybe someone ate some spoiled seafood." Violet shrugged her shoulders, not caring or finding it suspicious. "It can happen."
Brooklynn put her hand behind her head, ruffling her hair. "If we're doing this." She took a hairpin out of her hair. "Then we might as well do this." She began to pick the lock on the metal door knob.
Violet took a step back to give the girl space as she watched her move the pin around in the lock. "I'm slowly becoming a fan. You have to teach me?"
"I can teach you a lot more than lockpicking." Brooklynn smiled. She stood up, turning around to the others with success as she opened the door. "Ta-da!"
The others all looked at her, surprised, not expecting her out of all of them, to pick the lock.
"What?" Brooklynn looked at them all with a proud smile as she put the hairpin back on her hair. "You didn't see my Unboxing Kathmandu video, Hacks for when you lock yourself out of your hotel room?"
"Last to the top is a rotten egg!" Sammy shouted out and ran first, trying to get a headstart.
"You're cheating!' Violet hurried to run past them all but Yasmina was quick to catch up and run past her. "Later, rotten egg."
