"Really?" Pete exclaimed, bursting at the metaphorical seams with excitement and energy. Vegas would have never thought he missed the main family this much. Didn't Porsche say that the Minor family treats their body guards better than the main family? Vegas had been convinced, until now at least, that the Main family really did treat their subordinates like dogs, training them, teaching them not to bark or bite, and be an obedient little pet. Tankhun surely didn't do that, but even a blind man would know that. Kinn on the other hand? It was hard to believe. He only ever treated people nicely if he was attracted to them- not much different from himself. "Yes. I want you to come with me. I figured you'd want to pay your friends a visit." While that much was true, it wasn't the whole truth. Vegas had been good at telling half a story recently, mostly to make sure Pete didn't worry too much about him, but other than that, it was almost entirely for his own good if not completely.
"I would have come along either way had you told me" Pete smiled, standing proudly beside Vegas, though he didn't radiate the same effortless power that his boyfriend did. "I know" Vegas hummed simply, planting a kiss on Petes forehead before turning out to face the livingroom, looking around. "You sent Venice to daycare?" He asked, a but unsure about the idea, but knowing they couldn't leave a five year old alone at home with a bunch of weapons and potential threats. It was a bad idea to have a kid near weapons to begin, but that couldn't be avoided. The place was virtually crawling with dangers and the minor family specialized in weapons trade and drug distribution- unlike the main family who handled the more 'delicate' businesses. "No, I hired a nanny- a highschool girl, she's lovely. They're staying in the safehouse in Pakkret. They should be fine. She's driving him back in a few hours and then she'll leave from here when we come back." Vegas nodded, straightening his patterned, silk shirt and the gold of the chain necklass he wore complimenting the black and gray nicely. Pete always thought Vegas had a somewhat peculiar style, as if he was under the italians, though it had been very similar to that of his father too. Of course, having worked for Tankhun, Pete knew all about oddeties, and Vegas' dress sense was not one. It just happened to be a little louder, or at least revealing of his chest than anything he'd been comfortable with in the past. Back in highschool he'd have sooner been shot in the knee than been seen wearing a shirt that showed off as much as half a collar bone, but that was also before he developed his own style and moved out of his grandmas house.
Vegas continued to adjust his shirt in the mirror, admiring himself before his feirce eyes caught hold of Petes gaze, too focused on him from afar. Seeing Pete look away the second they met eyes brought a cocky smirk to his face. Pete looked so shy and smitten, it was adorable. "How do I look? Am I handsome?" Vegas teased, making the other noticibly bush and stumble to collect himself. "You look alright" Pete said nonchalantly, still averting his eyes. He resused to admit, at least out loud, that Vegas did indeed look like a whole as meal. Then again, when didn't he? That was also probably the reason he found it so east to seduce whoever he wanted - including Pete himself. "Well you look stunning" Vegas replied, taking a steo closer. "...Delicious even" A wave of shivers shot down Petes spine hearing that. He's said those same words in their last meeting with Kinn. "Lets hurry, we wouldn't want to keep Kinn waiting, now would we?"
"Come on" Vegas smiled, though it seemed empty and in-genuine. It was no secret he wasn't excited to go see his cousin, no less after what happened, but Pete appritiated the effort to make him feel comfortable. Leading Pete to the car, already prepared and waiting with a chauffeur, Vegas fixed Petes hair, kissesed his neck, and helped him into the car before himself. The ride to the main families house was rather short and uneventful, but the second pete had stepped one foot out of the car, he'd been nearly tackled by P'Arm and Pol who hadn't expected to see his face ever again. Vegas didn't like this much- In fact, he didn't like it at all, but he didn't do anything about it beyond throwing the group an occasional feirce glare as they were escorted upstairs by Vegas' bodyguards. The second Vegas stepped into the meeting room, a sly smirk slithered it's way to his face, noticing Kinn's bitter, hateful expression as he sat at his fathers side. Vegas hadn't specifically requested for Kinn to be there, but he knew once the man heard of his coming to the house, he'd be there anyway. That usually would have been unidealistic for Vegas, but right now, he found it very useful. Useful and hilariously amusing. Vegas walked slowly towards the seat opposite Kinn and beside Korn who, as usual, had a stoic expression on his face. "Long time no see..." Vegas started, his smirk never budging as he noticed Kinn grimace, finally turning to the mans father before finishing his sentence. "Uncle Korn."
Looking over to his guard briefly, Vegas nodded, motioning for him to go bring Pete to his side again. Of course, upon seeing Pete not only join Vegas' side, but also dressed casually with marks all over his neck made Kinn sick. Was Vegas really that jealous over him? More like obsessed. Their businesses became stronger through competition, but over petty things or relationships? Why did Vegas need to corrupt that too? "Why did you bring him here?" Kinn growled, opening his mouth to speak again, but being interrupted by his older brothers screams. "Peeeete!" Tankhun exlaimed so loud it nearly burst the boys eardrums, rushing over and pulling him into a tight hug. "Oh Pete, you're still alive! What a relief! Come back to me Pete, look at all those bruises, Vegas isn't treating you well, is he? Evil man. Come back to me Pete, and we'll watch the series together again" Tankhun sobbed dramatically, clinging to the boy as Arm and Pol tried to pry him away as to not make Vegas angry. On the contrary, Vegas' smirk only grew, leaning back in his chair. "He's mine now Khun." Vegas said smugly, raising a brow at Kinn, "He has been for a while now."
Vegas leaned back further in his chair, basking in the silence for a moment before reaching his hand over his shoudler for a guard to hand him the stack of documents all reporting several different links from the embezzelment to the main family- or at least one of their subordinates. "Six and a half million. That's a big number, even for people like us." Vegas said, tossing the stack of papers in the middle of the three of them, free for both Kinn and his father to examine. "I'm no detective, but I'd say that's a lot of evidence too, is it not Uncle?" Korn looked through the papers with a soft sigh, but Kinn was much less willing to deal with this; slamming his hands on the table, his ring hitting the wood as he did so.
"What are you asking Vegas. Be direct" Kinn growled, being shot a disapproving look from Korn, but Vegas didn't mind, simply sitting up straight again and leaning forward over the table just a smidge to make eyecontact as he tilted his head. "I'm asking, dear cousin. If you or you're mindless pets have been stealing my money." Kinn slammed his hands against the table again, this time standing up as he did so. "You've got some guts showing up here and accusing us of that" Korn's eyes had become warning, motioning for his son to sit down and shut up. It had never been a secret that the two hated eachother, and Korn and his brother had been the same, but for the sake of family and their business, they were forced to get along as long as it suited their own interests. And now that Kun was dead, he owed his nephew a little more than just conditional kindness. "Every clan in Thailand knows about Kun's death by now. You're the heir, the new leader. There are a lot more people hunting you down now." Korn warned, putting the papers back to the stack in the centre of the table nearly. "This evidence, It could link us to the embezzelment as much as it could the Yakuzas." Vegas smiled to himself. He knew it was the Yakuzas, he wasn't stupid. After that failed gold-mine deal and the threats of blackmail, they proved that there was no honor in a deal or agreement between them. "That's why I am asking you, Korn."
"You wouldn't lie to me, would you?"
