Lily

Jeremy never found out that I kissed him on his forehead while he was sleeping, he didn't even realized that he had been holding on to me while sleeping. Early in the morning as soon as I saw him stirring up and his sleep about to break I did the quick work of unwrapping his hands off me and ran to bathroom as if my life depended on it.

We fell back to normal, had breakfast and as we still had one day before our evening flight Mira took us exploring. I bought some gifts for my friends. It was barely 5-6 hours but for once in my life I was feeling a little free in a place where people didn't knew about Lily Pierce.

All while our tour, Jeremy had a soft expression on his face. His expressions didn't quite give way to what he was feeling but he was appearing happy and approachable rather than a grumpy big man. He didn't quite put effort in making small talks but had a pleased expression across his handsome face.

After lunch we explored for another hour and later went back to our hotel. I greeted Mira with all my heart. She was a new friend I made in a place I barely knew but her personality took my feet right to her. She asked me to keep in touch and call her if I were to visit again; we exchanged all those emotional greetings before parting.

By the time evening rolled in, we were packed, checked out and at the airport, making the day go by in blur. Jeremy asked me to plug in my earphones in his phone and play the music before the flight took off. I didn't protest even when my nerves were calmer compared to the time we were on flight from New York where I was freaking the fuck out of my life.

His hand was holding mine which I didn't quite realize until I felt the warmth off his skin. I sink in the giddy feeling before my nerves gave way that I was comfortably bothered by the handsome idiot holding my hand. I didn't need to ask him, as bossy as he could be he just took my hand in his without even asking, not that I was complaining.

Lucky for me I had popped on a painkiller before the flight and another one after somewhat 10 hours. That wasn't much healthy of me to keep on popping medicines unnecessarily but my cramps wouldn't let me have a pain-free flight. It was starting to bother me that I wasn't exactly bleeding yet having murderous cramps.

I probably should get a new uterus; this one isn't mine if not accompanying me.

The flight landed successfully. Success for me because I was able to keep my cramps and pain off the radar with the help of painkillers and a handsome M&Ms obsessed idiot. Jeremy called Alfred to bring the car for us. It was 1 in the morning by the time we were dragging ourselves out of the New York airport.

The black Mercedes rolling in was a relief because the constant sitting and occasional sleeping off had given us killer back pain and it was visible even on Jeremy's face while he was loading our suitcases in the car. The disturbed sleep schedule and jet lag had got good of us. Alfred drops me home first.

Though I refused, Jeremy helped me with my suitcase up to the apartment. Luckily I had a spare key so without disturbing Emma or Sammy I got in. Jeremy and I were standing at the door of the apartment after I had handed him a bottle of water as he asked for. He clears his throat, "Take tomorrow off."

"What about you?" I ask without missing a beat.

"I am taking off as well. Too tired and jet lagged to deal with lazy assholes."

I let out a small laugh to his response. He smiles, it was a tired one yet it lit up his face. Taking 2 steps he closes the distance between us. I look into his blue eyes and before I could anticipate his next move, his lips fall on my cheek. Warm, gentle and caring, he places a small kiss there.
