Chapter 15: It's Just You and Me

We just froze time.

Calm down, it's okay. Jax and I can undo this. If not, then we ask help from Maddie, Diego, Philip, Andi, Mia, or other witches. Time freezes don't affect magical beings, right?

I turn around to see that Jax wasn't in his previous spot anymore, he was on the Seven's couch, lying down, relaxing. How could he be relaxing at a time like this?

"We just accidentally froze time and you're just going to relax there?" I scolded him. I'm pretty sure I unintentionally sorta-maybe-might've yelled at him.

"Calm down, Em. We could use a short break after all this stress." He placed a soft pillow under his head and tapped on his side, which I'm pretty sure is his way of saying Who cares? Let's cuddle for a while.

"Look, as much as I would love to, I need to call Andi and Mia to get the Hexoren."

I grabbed my phone and quickly called Andi. I might be panicking too much and we might be the last two people who aren't frozen right now and one of us doesn't even care about it right now. Wait...

Why do I hear Andi's ringtone?

"Jax, do you hear that?" I roamed around the Seven and followed the noise. If that is her, thank goodness.

"Hear what?" He asked as he chewed on his pizza. I glanced at the pizza box he was holding and grabbed a piece from it before following the sound once more.

It led me closer to the couch, to the entrance, and-

"Ah!" I squealed.

"Em, what happened?"

I pointed at Andi and Mia standing near the entrance, frozen. Jax started to lightly punch them in their shoulders, and even tickle them, to make sure that they weren't pretending, and they're definitely not.

"Welcome to the sequel of the popular 2013 movie. I now present Frozen 2." He joked.

I gave him a glare and said, "Was that neccessary?"

He suggested, "Fine, let's go to the Council then." It's about time that he thought of something productive.

I walked over to the entrance and looked around to see Jax standing right behind me.

"After you, Mrs. Novoa." He softly muttered. He just said what?

"What did you just say?" I snickered. Was that my ears malfunctioning or my dreams moving into reality? [A/N: We all know you want to become Mrs. Novoa, Emma.]

He laughed, "Nothing, let's go!"

Before I go on with my announcement, I am on my knees right now, apologizing to all you readers who expected an update earlier than today. If any of my followers read the messages I post on my wall, struggle was written all over my face. Do you guys know that pain that your phone is stuck on bootloop mode (If you don't know what that means, look it up).

Now that my WiFi is fixed, my summer classes are done, my other iPhone is being fixed, I am back on my regular schedule: one update in all of my active books (Troublemaker, Forbidden Mysteries, Promises).
