Emma
I'll be a hundred percent honest with you, I emotionally broke down last night. I was glued to my bed, quietly sobbing over the sheets. I don't give a damn if people think I'm overreacting. I couldn't believe what an idiot I was to believe all of that was real. I guess it was just too good to be true.
My dad was too busy on school related activities (struggles of being a principal and a single parent), Andi was far too tired to even move a muscle, Mia had curfew, and out of all, Jax didn't even care.
Today, I had the whole day to do whatever I want. It is Freedom Friday after all, as we speak.
As originally planned, Mia, Andi, and I would go to the mall, watch movies, go shopping at noon. But honestly, I just want to sit on the couch, lay a blanket over me, order food, and watch a movie marathon or something. Andi's probably thinking of a whole day non-stop video gaming marathon and Mia's are probably over sitting all day in her bed watching Netflix.
My phone lit up, catching my attention, showing a preview of Andi's text in our group chat (with Mia).
Andi: Phillip and I are playing video games at his place at 6. Maybe we can shorten our plans? BTW, I'll be there in 5.
I sighed, quickly typing the change of plans. I didn't want to get in the way of Andi & Phillip; they're too cute. At least we can still hang out.
Emma: Ok. Change of plans. Let's just hang out somewhere else.
Andi: What if we stay at my place? I can prep some stuff before you guys can come.
Mia: Sounds like a plan. I'll be there in a few.
I casted a spell to change my clothes and ran off to the door. Since Daniel left, I felt free; no ropes to pull me back, no weight to pull me down. Still, it doesn't mean that I don't miss him because I do, I really do miss him.
As I ran out the door, I bumped into Jax halfway, making him drop the daisies he was holding. It reminded me of our first anniversary.

Jax pulled out a bocquet of flowers and handed it to me, as if all the other handmade no-magic work he'd done around us wasn't enough. This anniversary date was more than just perfect.
"Daisies, your favorite."

When he saw me, he was more than surprised. Is that the correct term to describe how I'm looking at it right now?
"Em... hi," he smiled, calming down. What's with the flowers and the attitude?
"Jax... what are you doing here?" He looked straight in my eyes, trying to come up with an answer.
"I..." He was lost for words. I didn't want to waste any time because Mia probably teleported to Andi's already, and they're probably waiting for me. Well, there's no time to waste.
"Look, Jax, I'd love to stay and talk but I need to be at Andi's right now." I shoved past him, making a run for it.
Andi's was not very far away, just a couple blocks. The neighborhood was calming though. You couldn't her much cars beep, the air was ref-
"AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" a little girl shrieked. I turned my gaze to where the noise was coming from. Oh no, the little girl was about to get hit by a speeding car.
"Beeeeeeeeppppp..."
I looked away, not wanting to see what had happened. Then curiosity came to me and I took a peek of the scene. A hundred pound weight was lifted over me when I saw the little girl, safe and alive, but she was panting and was about to cry. I approached her instantly, motioning her to move to the sidewalks.
"Are you okay?" I asked her. Tears dripped down her eyes, sadness poured on her face. I mentally slapped myself for asking such a question. Of course, she wasn't okay; she almost got hit by a speeding car.
"Honey, where are your parents?" I asked once more. She looked up at me as she cried even more. I mentally slapped myself again for making this poor girl cry.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Jessie."

Her name is Jessie... dun dun dunnnnnn. Who is she?
