Emma
Andi asked, "Who is this little girl?"
"I found her on my way here. She almost got hit by a car and she had no companion so I brought her here. Her name is Jessie."
"You can call me Jess." she smiled innocently.
Mia bended to her knees in front of Jess, pinching her cheeks. "Aww, she's so cute..."
Ding dong.
"I'll get it!" I yelled. I ran towards the door, knowing that the person at the door is the pizza delivery man.
As I opened the door, I found the delivery boy staring at me. The only words that came out of his mouth was, "Hi".
This delivery boy was a teen who looked as if he was the same age as me. He had short brown hair and baby blue eyes, and he wore... well... he wore his work uniform, obviously... which he still looked cute in.
"Hi." I awkwardly replied. He, for some reason, flashed his charming smile. It looked so familiar. "So... the pizza?"
He snapped back to reality, blurting, "Right... that will be $12.50."
I pulled the money out of my pocket and handed it to him while he continued to avoid the awkwardness floating around us. I snapped my fingers a few inches before his eyes, instantly making him give me our pizza boxes. Finally.
"I should be going now." Yes, he should.
He finally turned around and headed to his pizza delivery motorcycle, speeding away from the neighborhood. I sighed, walking back into the house.
But before I opened the pizza box, a small sticky note was place on one of the corners. It said:
Meet me at my house @ 7. Special surprise for a special girl. <3 ~Jax

I walked back inside and heard Andi ask Jess about her family. I quickly joined into the conversation as my interest in the topic grew bigger and bigger.
Andi jumped up off her seat and grabbed a pizza box from my hands. She groaned, "What took you so long? You know how much I love pizza."
"As much as you love Philip, I know. Sorry."
"Okay, back to the topic at hand." she speaks as she chewed on the slice of pizza. Everyone takes a slice each.
"Well, as much as I don't want to talk about my family," Jessie's voice sounded like as if she was about to break down and cry. "Here I go."
"My mother died eleven years ago when I was just a few months old. Since then, I was taken care of by my dad. At first, my dad was good and caring; he was like a combination of a mom & a dad." She grinned from ear to ear, happy to hear what she had said.
"But then, the day I turned four, he turned into someone who was so... evil and cruel. It even hurt me even more to know that he had another family; another mother-less family, in fact, and they were treated as badly as I was."
I felt so bad for her, but at the same time, I felt like I heard this story before.
"So there, I treated them as my half-siblings. I had one half-brother and two half-sisters, who are twins. My father trained us to be just like him: merciless and cruel; greedy and power-hungry, but then, I gave up and told him that I did not want to be like him, and he threw me away in the streets of Miami like trash."
I blurted out a question. "Where were you from?"
"Sydney." I bit my nails as I suddenly found out who her family actually is. Wait... I'm not 100% sure that she's... no. This is just a coincidence.
"Was your dad's name Jake?"
She smiled and replied, "Yeah, how did you know?"
"And your last name starts with an N?" she nodded, biting her lip. Mia and Andi looked at me, thinking I was telepathic or a psychic.
I took a deep breath and sighed. No wonder the story sounded so familiar. It all made sense now. "I think I know who your family is and you're in luck; your brother- I mean your half brother is in town."
Mia raised an eyebrow. "What? Who is it?"
"Jax."
A mix of shock and surprise struck Mia and Andi's faces while another smile was planted onto Jess'.
"Yeah, I remember that name. My dad used to scream at him all the time-"
I cut her sentence, finishing off with, "-and that's why he moved to Miami."
Jess gulped, knowing that what I said was true. What bothered me was why didn't Jax tell me all of these information when we were dating? Let alone, even talk about her.
"Great, let's bring her to Birdman's." Andi clapped. Jess squeezed her eyes shut, covered her head, and squealed. I guess she also has a fear of birds. "Great, the phobia runs through the genes."
I offered, "I'll bring her over to Jax's later on. He told me to go there by 7."
Mia's face lit up as she started poking my shoulder and singsonged, "You guys getting back together?"
"You wish." I muttered.
I need to show that I've moved on from him. Phew... you can do this Emma. Just forget that you've ever loved Jax Novoa. Shake those thoughts off, Em, shake it off.
_____
You probably figured out the answer now: Jessie is Jax's half sister (Same fathers, different mothers). You guys were so close to finding out. I just wanted to emphasize that she is Jax's half sister in the story.
Oh, and HAPPY 15TH BDAY TO MY DEAR SISTER @acedreamer!
(BTW, the update for Forbidden Mysteries is coming in a few minutes. I added another plotline for the Every Witch Way characters since the plotline mainly consists of Alfie - mini spoiler, haha.)
