Chapter 9: Over The Top

Days have passed since Daniel Miller left Miami. Emma and her two best friends, Mia and Andi, have been bonding again and moved on from that drama. And while they are, Jax was hanging out with his best friends, Philip and Diego.

"Kill 'em! Knock 'em off!" Diego chanted.

They were at Jax's house playing Zombie Apocalypse 5, the newest one that came out earlier today.

"Ugh," Philip groaned.

He dropped the controller on his lap and slouched on the bean bag he was sitting on. He watched as the remaining two shot the zombies. Diego had a few ammo left and Jax was running out of health.

Diego complained, "Great, I have 3 guns with no ammos at all."

"That's because you waste you bullets in the sky as if zombies were falling from the Ferris Wheel." Jax explained.

"Andi told me that it could happen."

"Speaking of Andi, I'll just stop by Emma's house to hand this to her." Philip was holding another copy of Zombie Apocalypse 5 but it was a limited edition that was only available this morning. It had a dark blue label at the top of the disc's case setting it apart from the regular edition discs.

Jax and Diego turned around and saw him holding the glorious limited edition disc. "Why didn't we just use that?" the two shouted in unison.

Philip smirked at their reactions. He picked up his backpack's shoulder strap and walked out of the house.

At the Alonso's, the gal pals were having their girl time. From time to time, their so-called girl time will be interrupted by Mr. Alonso's concerns. Actually, they were just having a conversations while playing with their powers.

Philip didn't take long and tele-transported to Emma's bedroom, where the girls were at. "Boo!"

"Ah!" Emma and Mia shouted in surprise. Andi was used to it - obviously.

The couple gave a hug as Philip presented his surprise gift to her. The girl was shocked, surprised, and thankful.

Emma just sat there at the corner of her bed, watching the happy couple get along. She glanced at one of the picture frames beside her bed which was the picture of her along with Jax. After that, she spaced out for a few minutes. Next thing you know, Andi was clapping her hands in front of Emma's face.

"Hello, Em," she waved her hand in front of Emma's face. She started to gain focus again and noticed the obvious. "Where's Philip?"

"He just left. Didn't you see?" Mia snickered. She was laid back on Emma's scrapbooking chair, with both of her feet on the table. "Em, did you just space out randomly?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired." she lied. Andi rolled her eyes.

"Well, I better leave you alone to get some rest. It's getting late. See you in school tommorow." She clenched her fists and pounded it on her palm as she tele-transported away.

Andi leaned against the closet door and crossed her arms. "I'm not buying that?"

"What do you mean?"

"You didn't space out because you were tired." Emma stayed quiet.

Andi threatened, "Do you need me to cast a truth spell on you?"

"I'll just go get some water." Emma walked out of the room and into the kitchen.

While the witch was gone, Andi sat on where Emma was sitting when she spaced out and directed her focus on where she was facing. She slowly stood up and grabbed the picture frame laid on top of the low leveled cabinet. There she saw the picture of Emma and Jax at Emma's surprise birthday party a year ago.

She heard the footsteps from outside the door so she left the frame on where she grabbed it from and went back to her position.

"You don't need to hide it."

"Hide what?"

"You spaced out a while ago because you were thinking of Jax when Philip got me a present." Andi found her guilty.

"Keep this between us, okay?"

"Fine. But can I tell you something?"

"What?"

"We talked last Saturday and he mentioned this. Hate to break it to you, Em, but he's over with you."

First of all, ouch Andi.

Second, I was watching Double Trouble (Season 2, Ep 11) on TV was writing this and for some reason, the screen turned black when Jax and E kissed but the Nickelodeon logo was still there so that means they purposely did it. I was like "Are you kidding me rn?" Ugh, so much for fangirling.

Also, as I said in the story description, this is a remade version of Every Witch Way. Andi is a witch, Jax is the Sharks' team captain, Philip is a wizard & is Maddie's biological brother (not adoptive brother), and Mia is one of Emma's close friends. There are more changes to list down but you'll notice them anyway.
