As soon as they entered the secret cloudy entrance to the Council, they saw things clearly; they were the last ones alive... or at least not frozen.

Just great! Emma sarcastically thought.

Jax then brainstormed, "Let's try to read these spellbooks on these huge bookshelves, there might be a spell somewhere to fix this."

Emma nodded and did as he said.

The two of them started skimming and scanning through the dusty spellbooks on each of the countless shelves sitting on each side of the walls, pilled up on one another until it reached the ceiling which was about twenty to thirty feet above them. They used these rolling library ladder tools to reach the top.

When Emma was looking at the top shelf, she immediately found Reversal Spells: Level 7 written on one of the books' spines and grabbed it at the second she saw it.

"Found it." she happily singsonged. Her eyes lit up in excitement as she rolled her ladder closer to it.

Jax looked up on her and smiled. "Be careful up there."

Emma tried pulling the book out of its shelf but it wouldn't budge. I bet this book hasn't been touched for years or so. She held onto the top of the shelf and reached her free hand out to pull the book. But then, once she did, the library ladder slid to the side, leaving her dangerously hanging about twenty five feet above them with her life relying on the last two fingers slipping off of the shelf.

She let out a high pitched girlish shriek, "Ahhhhh!" as she closed her eyes and fell down of the cold hard gr-

"Gotcha."

She opened her eyes and was surprised (and thankful) that Jax caught her in his arms just in time. She sighed in relief. "Oh my gosh, I thought I was going to die."

Jax chuckled and reminded, "Well, I'm always here right by your side so there's nothing to worry about." He gave her a peck on the lips before putting her down.

They scanned the book for any reversal spells for the spell they casted. It was not that easy to find the correct reversal spell as the book was filled with spells from different languages.

"There it is." Emma pointed at the small text at the bottom right corner of the book.

The two both looked up to each other, held hands, and recited the spell together. It should be a breeze for the world to unfreeze.

They looked around. The spell didn't work.

Then the Council Entrance doors swung open. The Hexoren was making its way to the survivors. Jax and Emma mentally facepalmed, feeling stupid because they didn't think of checking the Hexoren first.

The Hex lit up, opened itself, and landed into Emma's arms. She talked to the Hexoren for a few seconds and shut the book afterwards with a hint of sadness and disappointment in her face.

Jax faced her. "Well, what did it say?"

Emma gulped. "What time did we freeze everyone?"

"Around 12 noon. Why?"

"Everyone will automatically unfreeze tommorow noon."

A small grin formed on the wizard's face. "So... we have the next twenty two hours to ourselves."

"Great. What do you want to do first?" Another formed on the witch's. She continued, "I know you have a lot of answers."

For sure, Emma was not wrong and Jax was guilty. He did have a long list of things he wished he'd do with Emma but most of them will result to risking the exposure of magic. "Well, why don't we start with magic surfing?"

"Sounds fun. How does that work though?"

He let out a little laugh. "Just follow me."

Jax and Emma walked to the beach (they would rather walk holding hands than teletransport, ofc) and started their hour long magic surfing session. Afterwards, they played magic chess, played magic laser tag in the grocery store, and lots of other magic-exclusive stuff.

At around midnight, they landed at Jax's house after a two whole hours of flying their magic carpets and racing with them around the country. Actually, they also flew their carpets to Paris just to have a romantic dinner there.

"I had fun today." Emma said as she slid her hand into Jax's.

"So did I, being around you all day." Jax said, giving her a short kiss.

He continued, "Well, since your dad wouldn't mind at all, as if he knows we're doing this, why don't we just sleep at my house?"

"And what made you think of doing so?"

"So you can wake up in my arms." he winked.

Emma blushed, for sure. "Sure, why not?"

Author's Note:
Okay, I feel really really horrible for not updating any of my books (excluding Season 4 updates) for the past couple of days. School starts next Monday (ugh, my summer break since March is coming to an end 😭) which means that I will be kind of inactive by then.

Updates for this book (and all of my other books) will come at random times after this chapter. I cannot promise one update per week now. Apologies for that.
