3 years later...

ROBIN AND NANCY had planned a date for that night, since it was their three year anniversary. nancy had asked her the night before, as she always did. robin immediately agreed, happy as ever.

in fact, nothing had changed much in the past three years. they were happy as ever, the only thing that had really changed was their chemistry. it was stronger than ever.

robin had fallen in love with nancy when they were still within the first few months of dating. she believed that some part of her was always in love with nancy, and she had only rediscovered it.

that night, she did the same thing she always did when getting ready. shave, take a shower, fix her hair, and do her makeup. she had chosen a simple outfit, since nancy told her it wasn't anything fancy.

robin chose jean shorts, a cropped tank top, and converse. she accessorized with two necklaces, a few bracelets, and some rings. to complete her look, she grabbed her purse. she headed to the front door, where nancy was waiting for her.

"you look amazing," nancy smiled when she saw robin.

"and you look amazing," robin replied, smiling back.

"you ready to go?"

"definitely!"

-

nancy pulled up to the park, and robin recognized it immediately. "this is the park i took you to on our first date!"

"yep! it is. and guess what?"

"what?"

"i got...." nancy pulled out a basket and a blanket. "this!"

"are we recreating our first date?" robin asked with another smile.

"maybe..."

"this is the best anniversary date i could ask for!"

"i'm happy you think so. i thought it was a good idea and i wasn't sure you were gonna like it"

the two walked around the park. robin followed nancy to the spot nancy had picked out.

"i think it's perfect," robin smiled again.

nancy stopped at a spot, and robin looked around. it was the exact spot they sat on their first date.

the two sat down, talking to one another. nancy took out the food- which was the same things they had on their first date. they ate as they talked, laughing with each other.

"y'know, i got really lucky," robin said, looking at nancy.

"lucky? what do you mean?"

"well, we were in love, i lost my memory, and now we're still in love. i'm lucky because the universe brought me back to you. and i've gotten to spend the last three years with you. and they've been the best three years of my life"

"i think i'm the lucky one," nancy smiled.

"i think we're both lucky. we have each other, and i love that. i love you, nance"

"i love you, robin. and that's why i have something else planned for tonight"

"another thing? you're spoiling me a little too much"

"i think you'll like this. just look over there," she said, pointing in the opposite direction. when robin looked, nancy took the opportunity to put her plan into action.

after a minute or two, robin was getting a bit impatient. "nance i don't see-"

robin stopped when she turned around, seeing nancy holding a small box on one knee. she became speechless, her mouth hanging open. a few tears fell from her eyes.

"robin..." nancy started, trying to not sound nervous. "the past three years with you have been the best moments of my life. after you lost your memory, i was scared you were never going to want to be with me again. i thought i had lost you forever. but here we are, three years later, and better than ever. rob, i want to spend the rest of my life with you. i want to start a family with you, wake up every morning next to you, and grow old with you. i love you so much, robin. you make me so happy. i didn't even know i could be this happy. so...will you marry me?"

robin started crying even more, unable to speak. she nodded her head happily. nancy smiled and threw her arms around robin, pulling her into a hug. they sat there for a while, just enjoying each other's embrace.

"i love you so much," robin said once she ginally calmed herself down.

"i love you more," nancy said, sliding the ring she bought onto robin's finger.

robin looked down at the ring. it was gorgeous. it had small diamonds around the whole ring. in the center was a beautiful ruby in the middle, which is robin's favorite.

"this ring is perfect," robin smiled, looking back up at nancy.

"the perfect ring for the perfect girl," nancy smiled back.

the night was finished with the perfect kiss under the stars. their night couldn't have been more perfect.

robin knew that she was going to be with nancy forever, and now it was official. even though they had been through so much together, everything worked out in the end.

and robin couldn't have been happier.

end.
