"Mama look! a doll", Nat said with excitement as Abdul sat with them on the rug helping them unbox the toys. "That's pretty baby, did you say thank you?", "Yes mama", she said just in time for Nate to switch on his toy car, he laughed as the toy started blinking different lights. "Look", he kept repeating making Abdul smile, but it didn't reach his eyes. He noticed Nathan was different. I swallowed hard, it was a sensitive topic. "You like it?", Abdul asked him. "Yes", he said with a huge smile on his face. I have seen my kids happy but most of the time, it was either me or Claire who was behind it. I felt different, "Mama look! colours", Nathan told me and I couldn't even master words, I just smiled and walked to the kitchen before Abdul could see my tears. "Hey, you ok?", he asked standing right behind me, did he have superpowers? how did he get to me so fast? "I'm fine. I just need to clean the kitchen then, I will be right there", I said and was thankful when he left me alone. I felt like a loser. I took deep breaths, and when I was back to my usual self, I cleaned the kitchen and then went back to the living room. "Guys, time for bed", I said. They started to whine until Abdul told them they would have a chance to play again the next day. They said goodnight to him then ran to their bedroom with me following behind. When I managed to get them to cooperate and sleep, I returned to the living room.

"They're cute and Nat reminds me of the little you", he said while collecting the toys. I gave him the toy basket to put them in. "Thank you", I said clearly blushing, gosh he still has the same effect on me. "I should go. Have a goodnight Nikki and thank you for allowing me to meet the kids", I still couldn't reply, so I just nod my head. I walked him to the door, he turned before I could close it, and we just stared at each other. He smiled, and I smiled back. "Goodnight Abdul", "Goodnight Nikki", I finally got the will to close the door. My heart was still beating fast. The realisation hit me. I'm still in love with him.

It was Saturday morning and I could hear the kids making noise from the kitchen with Claire's voice too but I could not bring myself to get out of bed. My phone started ringing and I hated it, I wanted to throw it away. My weekend meant everything to me. I ended up answering it, "Hello", "You still love your bed", his deep voice brought me back to reality. "Abdul!... g-good morning", I can't believe I was unable to talk properly. He chuckled, "I'm at the door can you come open, please?". I woke up abruptly, tripping over the sheets finally falling on my ass. "Nikki? Are you ok in there?", "Yes Claire. Can you get the door, please? Someone is waiting", I shouted. "Sure thing", she replied. I stood up fast, rushing to the bathroom. I looked like someone who was hit by lightning. I was even drooling, oh god. I took a shower quickly and then found a maxi dress with thin straps. I was about to walk out of my room when I realised, I didn't have my bra on and my breasts looked like flip-flops. I cursed rushing through my drawers until I found a bra. I went to the mirror and saw that I looked much better.

When I reached the living room the kids were eating sandwiches with Zahra and some other guy. By the way, he was looking at Zahra I figured it must be the husband. Then I recalled the pictures she showed me. "You must be Aziz", I said making myself known. Abdul turned, looked at me from head to toe then smiled. "Yes, I am. You must be the famous BFF. Tell you what, I will give you ten dollars for every secret you tell me about Zee, whatcha say?", he said wiggling his brows. He was funny, I liked him. "How about I tell you for free if you tell me his?", I said pointing at Abdul. He glared at Aziz making me laugh even harder. "We're going to the beach, wanna come with?", Zahra asked and I saw Natalia's face light up. I was in trouble. It was an automatic yes so, I packed their bags and we left.

Claire and the kids were way happier than I was, probably because we never went out a lot ever since Nathan started therapy. Most of my earnings had to pay for it. I was happy that they got a chance to do so. We reached the hotel, and Zahra, Claire and the kids ran to the changing room. I hated water so I remained with the rest of their stuff. We found a nice place to sit and ordered drinks. Aziz and Abdul ordered beers and it was wine for me. When the group returned, Aziz left with them because they needed a camera guy and he was it for some reason. "So how long have you been working at the mall?", "Four years", "Nice, so Zahra said Nathan is in therapy. If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with him?", I knew he would ask so there was no escaping reality. "They were born before term and Nathan faced some complications along the way. They led to delays in his growth so his doctor advised therapy for him and that's what I've been doing", "And Natalia?", "She's ok, quite a fighter that one". He sat properly so that we were facing each other. "Where's their father?", I was about to answer him when Zahra and her group returned. "Let's order food, I'm starving... Pizza?", she asked the kids and they agreed. Aziz called the waiter and we ordered. Abdul kept looking at me as if telling me the conversation wasn't over.

It had been a while since I talked about my relationship with Oliver. Five years to be exact when I opened up to my brothers who instead of helping me, they told dad who ended up saying I was a disgrace to our family. I know they're doing well business-wise. Craig was even named the successful businessman of the year and Charles was not far behind as a business influencer that everyone wanted to gain knowledge from on how to run a successful business and then there was me, a shopping mall maintenance manager. How lucky.
