It has been a month since Abdul and his father travelled for work. They were passing through all the branches to catch up with their workers. It has been hard to talk to him but we tried as much as possible especially when he had free time. The whole tour was being documented, celebrating 30 years of a business was not something to take lightly and Hafeez liked being connected to all his workers, old and new. There were a lot of meetings behind every visit. I am proud of Abdul for being able to run the business the way he did. From having five branches to twenty-five in a matter of five years that was something worth celebrating.

Renee: Heading to the joint with Angel. Meet you there in an hour?

Me: Yes Ma'am.

Yes, Renee and I have gotten closer and we have been hanging out together more often. She is three months pregnant and hoping to get a boy. I am happy for her and Greyson, he is an amazing guy. Angela and I still talk, we tried hanging out but she was always with Mercy who still hates me because she thinks I'm leading Karim on, making him too focused on me to see that she is also important. To be honest, I believe she's just jealous, the only time I spend with Karim is when discussing business. He has invited me to his home a couple of times but again, work-related for some reason. She makes a big deal out of it and I hate putting Angela in the middle of everything.

"Hello there Angel. Give me five", she jumped and gave me a sloppy high five then hugged me. "Nat!", she said pulling Natalia for a hug, then Nathan they disappeared into the playground. I was less worried because Nat was always looking after Nate and it warmed my heart that she was growing too fast, but it kind of helped me relax too. Worrying less about him wandering around.

"How have you been without the man of the house?", Renee teased. "Ha ha ha... I'm ok. But I miss him so much. We've never been apart this long before like, never", I confessed and she nod in understanding. "I get it. When Greyson started his business, he had to travel a lot to get investors. We had just gotten married and couldn't even enjoy our honeymoon. The man was thinking about work all the time. There was a point we argued to the point that I walked out saying I didn't want to be married to him anymore", she said surprising me. They were my definition of a power couple so argument and separation were no were near my mind when thinking of Greyson and Renee. "Are you serious? So what did you do?", I asked sipping my juice. "Yap! I just took a break. Then I went to one of his events, the one he used to showcase his idea for attracting investors and his passion was just unbelievable. His audience though...they were brutal and I just had a change of heart. I wondered how many times he was turned down like that and still came home to me looking like he won the lottery. I didn't get it. So I went back home and made his favourite dinner. Mac and Cheese and waited for him in the sexiest lingerie I could find. Let's just say I opened doors for him", she said wiggling her brows making me laugh. "I mean it literally. A week down the road he got a call from an investor from out of the country and baaam! He's a billionaire", she said with a huge smile, making me smile back. She was proud of him, I guess everyone passes that moment in their life where a relationship is tested just to see if we can hold on tighter to each other or give up completely.

"Greyson told me about your love story. It's very romantic. Tell me... is Abdul the same as he was back then?", she asked and I knew exactly what she meant. "Hell no! This is a totally different person. He was all about making out and cuddling but now, it's all the above plus sex and stamina", I finished and she was laughing her lungs out at the way I was throwing my hands all over the place in the hopes that she would understand the level of out of control stamina I was talking about. "Isn't that overwhelming? I mean, I love sex but not all the time", she said after calming herself a bit. "Well it was in the beginning but we talked about it and now it's more of a mutual thing than craving", I explained and she hummed. "When is the wedding?", she asked with excitement. "Next month. We are not planning anything big, just dinner", I said trying to imagine myself walking into court. "Well I'm sure he'll make it perfect for you because one thing that I know for sure is that Abdul is crazy about you", she assured me.

When the kids had enough of the swings and slides, we had snacks and then left. When I reached home I realised that my phone was in silent and there were 10 missed calls from Zahra. I called her right away. "Is everything ok?", "No, Nikki please come to St. Ruth hospital. I'm alone please, I need your help", she said while crying. "Ok. I'm on my way", I replied then told Claire about the call while rushing out.

"It's mother and she passed out. I found her in her living room. They said she needs a blood transfusion", she explained so fast that I didn't know what to say. Before she answered the doctor entered the VIP waiting room. "Zahra, she is a type O positive. Does any of you have the same blood group?", he asked and I released a breath. "I do. I can help", "Great, follow me", Zahra hugged me before I followed the doctor and when I looked into her eyes, I understood what she was saying. An hour later I was done with the transfusion but I was still feeling weak so I was on the hospital bed resting with Aziz and Zahra sitting in the room with me. The door burst open, and Saad and Inaya walked in looking worried. "Were they able to get the transfusion?", Inaya asked. "Yap!", Zahra asked, clearly hating the fact that her sister was in the room with us. "Well Nikki, thank you for helping us out these are just supplements to help you regain your energy. Your blood group is hard to find these days, your mother-in-law is very lucky", the doctor said then walked out of the room but not before I saw Inaya's shocked face.
