The main control room of Security buzzed with flashing monitors and the nervous chatter of operators. Rows of staff members frantically typed across keyboards as warning klaxons echoed through the chamber.

"An abnormality has occurred in the Duel Control System!" one staff member shouted, voice cutting through the static-filled air.

Another worker swiveled in his chair, sweat forming on his brow as his fingers danced over the console. "Switch E to J via the alpha circuit!"

"Negative!" a third barked back, scanning his readings. "The potential of a cyber attack is thirty-one point two nine percent!"

"Specifics of the source?" a fourth demanded, snapping his gaze toward the analytics team.

"The source is District D8," came the quick reply.

"Switch to the alpha circuit impossible. Trying the theta circuit," the technician muttered, hands blurring as he tried to reroute the system.

Suddenly, across the main display, jagged red letters flashed: SYSTEM ERROR.

Inside Security's headquarters, the tension was palpable. The director himself, Jean-Michel Roget, stood at the elevated platform, overlooking the chaos below. His calm, calculating eyes locked onto the screen as the alarm lights painted the walls a stark crimson.

"What's the matter?" Roget asked, his voice sharp but unnervingly steady. The entire room seemed to freeze for a heartbeat before one staffer rose to respond.

"We have reason to believe that the suspects' Duel Disks have interfered with the System," the man explained nervously.

As he spoke, the massive central monitor shimmered. An Action Field projection materialized: the card Crossover glowing in crisp holographic detail. Roget's lips curled into a faint smirk as he tilted his head, examining the phenomenon.

"Hm?" Roget murmured, the faint note of interest in his voice chilling the room more than any alarm.

The dust settled across the cracked pavement as Sawatari's monster shattered into fragments of light. The resulting shockwave hurled him off his feet and sent him tumbling across the ground.

Yuya's eyes widened in disbelief. "Sawatari... lost to a one-turn kill?"

One of the Security officers, unfazed, raised his hand in command. "Alright. Secure him."

Another officer grabbed Sawatari by the arms, forcing him up roughly.

"Let go of me! Do you have any idea who I am? I'm the son of the next mayor!" Sawatari thrashed against their grip, his voice cracking with indignation.

Serena's narrowed eyes shifted to the duel disks glinting on the officers' arms. "So they're Synchro Dimension Duelists?"

The lead officer's tone was cold, clinical. "Do you understand now? Stop resisting and surrender quietly."

Serena's gaze hardened. "Do you think I'll give in that easily?"

"Serena!" Jean's voice carried a sharp edge, worry breaking through his calm demeanor.

Serena didn't flinch. "There is no point in worrying. Such a situation is to be expected."

Yuya's heart sank at her calm defiance. "T-that's not it..." he began, but then felt a small hand clutch his sleeve.

He looked down. Reira's trembling voice broke through the tension. "W-where are Brothers?"

Yuya softened instantly. "Reira... It's okay. Don't worry, Reira. I'm here, aren't I?"
