"With that excellent duel between Crow Hogan and Sakaki Yuni concluded, we now move on to the fourth match of the third day of the Friendship Cup!" Melissa's voice echoed across the stadium, excitement swelling in her tone. "Our competitors are none other than Serena versus Hiiragi Ryu!"

The crowd stirred, whispers running through the Commons and Tops alike.

Serena strode through the corridor leading toward the duel field, her cloak rippling in the artificial wind. Her expression was calm, but her thoughts lingered elsewhere. So... my opponent is Yuzu's brother. This isn't going to be easy.

On the opposite side, Ryu emerged with a tight frown etched across his face. His voice was low, bitter. "Of all the people... why does my opponent have to be her?"

The two duelists stepped onto the luminous track. When Serena turned, her violet eyes locked onto Ryu. Her lips pressed into a faint frown, and she called out quietly.

"Hey... Ryu."

Ryu lifted his gaze reluctantly. Serena's face was illuminated by the glowing Action Field, and for just a moment, he thought he saw Yuzu's features overlap hers.

"I'm... really sorry for what happened to Yuzu," Serena said. Her tone was softer than usual, sincere.

Ryu's grip tightened on his Duel Disk. "...You didn't do anything wrong. It's my fault. I let Yuzu get dragged into danger while I just sat back and did nothing..."

Serena lowered her gaze, nodding. "...I see. Then let's give this duel everything we've got—for Yuzu's sake."

The words caught in Ryu's chest. He wanted to snap back, but the image of his sister lingered too vividly. His heart ached.

Melissa's voice broke the silence. "Now—let's get the show on the road! Action Field, on! Field Magic—Crossover Accel!"

The stadium erupted with violet light. Pillars shifted, roads curved into gravity-defying arcs, and Action Cards scattered like shooting stars across the duel course.

"Duel mode, on! Auto-pilot, stand by!" Both D-Wheels announced in unison.

The holographic countdown appeared, glowing numbers ticking down to zero. The sound of the engines roared like thunder as the crowd leaned forward in anticipation.

Melissa raised her hand. "Riding Duel—Acceleration!"

"Duel!" both Serena and Ryu cried out as their D-Wheels launched forward, sparks trailing behind them. (Serena:4000) (Ryu:4000)

The two duelists sped out of the Duel Palace and onto the open track. Ryu's D-Wheel surged forward, breaking through first.

Melissa's voice rose above the roar of the engines. "Ryu emerges first—the first move goes to him!"

Ryu narrowed his eyes. "I'll go first! I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 2 Elemental Villager and Scale 9 Elemental Slave!"

Two figures rose into the air: a humble villager shimmering in pale light, and beside him, a prisoner cloaked in shadow with a rainbow-colored crest. Twin glowing numbers—2 and 9—appeared beneath them.

"With this, I can summon monsters from Levels 3 to 8!" Ryu declared, sweeping his arm forward. "Pendulum Summon! Come—Elemental Castle!" (ATK:0/DEF:2000/Level 6)

A fortress with shimmering rainbow stone manifested, its walls glowing faintly under the stadium lights.

Melissa gasped. "What a surprise! Ryu has summoned a giant castle to the field!"
