Chapter 4 Super Duelists

After a tense walk through the narrow streets, the group finally reached Rua and Ruka's penthouse. A few people loitered outside, their gazes sharp and suspicious, whispering as they saw strangers arriving.

Vivian shifted uncomfortably under their stares. "They're... watching us. Do they think we're Commons?"

Rua gave a dismissive wave. "Don't worry about those guys. As long as you're with us, you don't have to be afraid. We'll handle it."

"But still..." Vivian murmured, eyes narrowing. "To think that the class system really divides this whole dimension. It's worse than I imagined."

Once inside, the mood shifted. Warm lamplight greeted them as they entered the living room. On the sofa sat three familiar figures: Yugo, Risu, and—

"Yuzu!" Ryu's voice broke the silence as he ran forward, wrapping his sister tightly in his arms.

Yuzu's eyes widened, tears welling as she returned the embrace. "Brother! ...Yuni! Katrina! Reisho! Vivian! You're here too!"

The others rushed forward, pulling her into a group hug. Yuni clutched her hand with relief. "I'm so glad you're safe, Yuzu. You had us all so worried."

Yuzu lowered her head. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to leave like that..."

Before the moment could settle, Risu gasped, pointing at Yuni. "Hold on—you... You look just like me!"

Yuni froze. Her gaze dropped, catching sight of a familiar glow—Zarine's Synchro Fragment shimmered faintly before her.

As everyone took seats in Rua and Ruka's living room, introductions were made. One by one, Yugo and Risu learned about the newcomers.

Risu crossed her arms, still eyeing Yuni with disbelief. "At first, I thought it was only Yugo who had someone who looked like him. But seeing someone who looks just like me, too... and in the same house? It's beyond shocking."

Yuni exhaled, a wry smile touching her lips. "Well... you'd better get used to it. Around us, things like this? They're going to become pretty common."

The warmth of reunion lingered, but Yuzu's expression shifted, her tone turning serious. "So... how was the Battle Royale? And... what about Yuri?"

Katrina glanced at her siblings before answering. "The Battle Royale ended abruptly. The competition was forced to stop because of Academia's invasion."

Reisho leaned forward. "We gathered the survivors and formed the Lancers—a group dedicated to fighting Academia. Right now, we're all here in the City. Yuya, my brother, my sister, and the others as well."

Yuzu's eyes widened. "Yuya... he's here too?" Relief and worry collided in her voice. "Then... where is he? Why wasn't he with you?"

Yuni shook her head sadly. "Because of some miscalculations during our arrival, we got separated. We know they're in this Synchro Dimension too, but we don't know exactly where."

Yugo crossed his arms, studying Yuzu closely. "So this Yuya person... he's the one who looks like me, right? I heard he's important to you."

"Yes. He is," Vivian said softly. Then her gaze shifted back to Yuzu. "As for Yuri—the one who kidnapped Rin, who also has the same face as your brother—let's just say... your brother defeated him and absorbed him."

Yuzu blinked. "Absorbed him? Then... does that mean he's good now? He's on our side?"

Satoshi shook his head. "Not entirely. Yuri carries the same kind of darkness as Sona. That darkness makes it easier to persuade him, but it's still risky."
