Melissa Claire could hardly contain her excitement as her voice echoed from the helicopter above. "Yuya not only completes a Pendulum Summon, but he also performs a Synchro Summon without a Tuner! Unbelievable!"
Across from him, Jack Atlas smirked, eyes gleaming. "Interesting... you truly are interesting, Sakaki Yuya!"
Yuya pointed forward. "Battle! Go, Nirvana High Paladin—attack Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight! Truth Sukhavati!"
The towering magician unleashed a surge of green and violet energy from its blade, the twin-colored beam tearing through the air and striking Jack's dragon square in the chest. (Jack:4100-3800)
Jack's D-Wheel skidded, sparks flying behind its wheels—but the King remained unshaken. "I activate my Continuous Trap—King Scarlet!"
Crimson flames erupted from the ground as a spectral monarch appeared beside the dragon. "Along with negating the destruction of Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight, I Special Summon King Scarlet, which can serve as a Tuner Monster!" (ATK:0/DEF:0/Level 1)
Melissa's commentary cut through the roar of engines. "Another surprise from the King! He prevents his dragon's destruction and turns his Trap into a Tuner Monster! What an incredible counter!"
Yuya smiled through the wind. "I end my turn here."
From the sidelines, Frank and Amanda leaned forward, eyes wide.
"Yuya and Jack..." Frank began.
"...are kinda amazing!" Amanda finished, grinning.
"They take a hit and send another one right back!" Tanner said, pumping his fist.
Kiryu crossed his arms, a proud smile tugging at his lips. "It's a fierce clash—each bringing out their strongest weapons."
"All as expected from the finals!" another spectator cheered. "I can't stop watching this!"
From the stands to the streets, Tops and Commons alike chanted both their names, united for the first time. The City roared for the Duelists whose spirits refused to break.
Jack's eyes met Yuya's across the curve of the track. "Looks like you've finally begun speaking with your own words!" He turned sharply, his D-Wheel veering toward a narrow side route. "Then I'll answer you with my own Dueling!"
His engines howled. "My turn!"
He drew swiftly, his smirk never fading. "I summon the Tuner Monster—Mirror Resonator! (ATK:0/DEF:0/Level 1)"
Yuya narrowed his eyes as the reflective sphere-like monster appeared beside Red Daemon's Dragon Scarlight and King Scarlet. "He's got two Tuners on the field... that means Double Tuning is coming."
Melissa's voice rose in anticipation. "Now what will the King—" She cut off abruptly, her eyes widening as the camera feed showed Jack's path ending in a sheer drop. "Oh no! There's nowhere left to go for the King!"
Yuya gasped as the scene unfolded before him. "This moment... It's just like Yusei..."
The flames of determination blazed in Jack's eyes. He leaned forward, gripping the D-Wheel's handles tightly.
