{Your POV}

I cried out as the Kishin knocked us to the sides; Maka and I to it's right, crashing against a brick wall and Tsubaki, Liz and Patty to its left, tumbling along the concrete ground.

A loud crack erupted through the alleyway when my body collided with the wall before collapsing on the ground. Slowly, I sat up and winced, clutching my stomach as the Kishin eyed us all hungrily.

"Agh!" I cried in a mix of pain and frustration. "Maka, you alright?"

"Yeah!" I heard her shout back. "I'm fine."

I nodded. "Good." I looked over to Tsubaki and the Thompson Sisters, who were sitting up too. "You guys good?!"

"Yeah! We're fine!" Liz called back as the three of them stood and regained themselves.

I looked back to the Kishin, and cringed at its revolting appearance. Aside from its rotting, wrinkled skin, everything on its body was out of proportion. It's right arm was long and bony, twisting awkwardly at the elbow, while the left one was short and stubby, protruding from its side like a splinter on a thumb. Its legs were both thick and bent, the left one longer than the other with a smaller clawed foot, making its stance lean to the side. It's head erupted from its body on an oversized neck, its mouth massive and dressed with yellowing fangs, one eye gooey and bulbous as it stuck out of its flesh while the other one was sunk in, a tiny black bead that peeked out from beneath its blanket of nasty flesh.

It hissed and ran for me, running with its left foot and right arm rather than both its feet like a mutated gorilla. I quickly shot up and back flipped, missing its claws by a long-shot. This Kishin was ugly, and it was big, but it was also very, very slow.

I landed gracefully behind Maka who was just standing up. The Kishin pulled its hand back, expecting to see bits of me sticking to it's razor sharp claws,, and glared at us furiously when it realised it hadn't caught me. It roared and charged for Maka and I again, but we quickly dodged to the side and ran to our companions.

"Maka! Can you wield Tsubaki or the sisters?" I asked her. I know it's difficult to wield a weapon you've not used to for normal meisters, and usually takes a lot of practice.

"Yeah. Tsubaki!" She called out and held her hand in the air.

"Right!" Tsubaki shouts and transformed into a Ninja Star in Makas hand, which would probably be most like what Maka is used to wielding, other than enchanted sword.

"Liz, Patty, you two okay on your own?" I asked, not letting my eyes off of the Kishin who once again was surprised to find nothing but rubble in his claws.

"Yeah, we're good!" Patty chirped and threw her hand in the air, catching Liz as she transformed. Patty spun Liz around on her finger and stopped as she stuck her foot behind her and pointed her sister at the Kishin.

"Good," I grinned. "Let's do this."

{Tashi's POV}

"Didn't the girls say they were going to DeathBucks?" Blackstar asked, lifting up the cushions on the cafe's couches and peering under the tables looking for the girls.

Dumbass.

"Yeah, they did," Soul replied. His voice was cool as always, but I could sense a hint of worry in his words.

I chewed on my lip and jogged over to the barista at the counter. He was a big guy, with tan skin, shoulder-length black hair, broad shoulders and a pointed chin. I asked him about the girls, and he grunted with a shrug.

"No girls in here I'm afraid," he told me. His voice was deep and husky, and he breathed out noisily after he spoke. "Sorry mate."

I nodded a thank you and returned to the guys.
